This used to be my favourite banh mi shop in Bankstown until my encounter with one of the rudest and grumpiest shop assistant I've ever met. I went there on Friday 8th Nov 2024 at 12.30pm to order my pork roll. The woman with short hair, wearing glasses that served me will roll her eyes and show her displeasure whenever I asked for basic things like having the rolls cut in half, no chillies on the bread and etc. Even though there was no one around except me, the woman will make these simple requests like its a major inconvenience to her and tell you off for it. She proceeded to lecture me 'the customer' that you need to tell her all your requests in one breath. Wow the audacity. To the business owners of the store, you're not doing yourself any favours by enabling this shop assistant's terrible attitude towards customers. I am no longer curious as to why there are no customers around during the busiest time of the day (lunch). There use to be a few lovely ladies working there that I don't see there anymore. I certainly won't be back after...

Roast Pork Roll Filling Amount: 4/5 Bread: Bread roll was crusty and flakey, but definitely not a “mouth shredder”. Price: $5 regular, $7 for crispy roast pork (pictured today with extra crackling, 50c) Taste: 4/5 Overall Rating: 4/5

Pate, mayo, carrot, daikon, cucumber, coriander and shallot oil. Roast pork roll came with generous helping of tender and juicy roast pork belly. Plenty of mayo and pate too. 50c for extra crackling was worth it. The additional crackling was very crunchy, more so than the crackling that was already on the roasted pork. The carrot did not taste like it had been pickled. The use of “Mụ HĂ nh” shallot oil is a unique touch that adds some extra Vietnamese flavour to the roll. This shop also sells Vietnamese “Pate Chaud” pastry, something I’ll have to come back and...

Best Bahn Mi in my books so far. After many different places This one stands out above many good places out there...

Original with chilli ordered - I never stray with trying these strange, mish mash combo Bahn Mi’s... they really aren’t authentic to what began as the humble pork roll in Vietnam.

Size and price wise. Great value!! Super big and crunchy rolls, excellent fresh ingredients with enough chilli to give a good taste and burn yet not overpowering, Taste is superior to other ones tasted.. flavour bomb in mouth... Well worth the travel!

Will always stop past whenever I’m in Bankstown. Never disappointed... Keep up the great...

Still our favourite pork roll place in Sydney!! After years of trying other popular pork roll joints in Sydney, we always find ourselves going back to Nam Fong. The price has increased gradually over time but it’s still one of the cheapest eats around. The winning formula has to be the quality of the fresh bread and fillings (especially the delicious pate and mayonnaise), the value for money ($4.50 for a standard pork roll) and the consistency year after year 😊 Hope it never changes! đŸ€— ⭐ 5/5
