At the beginning I rated this place with 2 stars because the cookie pizza was not cooked inside. After the owner politely contacted me and we had a chat. I told him that it looks like they used yeast and it didn’t rise or if they didn’t use yeast they probably cooked it using too high temperature for short time and that big cookie is too thick to be cooked in that way. Even the smell inside it was the same smell that raw dough has. A friend of mine bought it for my birthday, so I ate it anyway because it was a present and I felt sorry not doing it, but then I had stomachache. From the picture you can see that it’s not cooked inside and you can see that I was also able to knead it again! Kind of funny, but not if you think they sell it to the clients. So my friend wanted to have a refund because he said it was also expensive, but besides that I think they should not sell this item because it’s unhealthy for the clients. Or at least they should make it thinner like a pizza, so it can cook properly. Or cooking the top part and the base one separately and then put them together just after, filling the centre with nutella or whatever they like. The owner polarity refunded us, saying that their policy is if for any reason someone doesn’t like any of their products they offer a full refund. So I decided to rate them with 3 stars because I see they really care about their clients, he wanted to chat to fix the problem and they take real pride in everything they do. Those are things that can happen, but even looking at the other reviews I’m pretty sure they use to make good food and the problem it was just the cookie.

Easily one of the best bacon and egg rolls I’ve ever had! And i’ve tried a lot of bacon egg rolls across Sydney. Everyone knows Bennet St Dairy of course for their cookies! But they’re a super cosy little cafe for brekky/brunch/lunch as well. Amazingly delicious gooey melt in your mouth cookies and fantastic coffee too! The bacon and egg roll was honestly deadset cracker. It comes standard with double bacon which is hectic, a brioche bun which comes perfectly buttered and melts in your mouth with every bite (so sweet, buttery and flakey) and I choose to get it with the onion relish AND bbq sauce together which I honestly couldn’t recommend more (you can choose your own sauce options). We’ve been looking at open homes around here, looking for our next rental and the thought of Bennet St Dairy being my go to regular weekly weekend bacon and egg roll makes me so happy and set on living walking distance from it lol. 10/10 recommend!

This was delicious! From the first bite I knew that would be one of the best brunches I have had since arriving in Sydney (and I have had a lot!) I ordered the Bennett Street Bruschetta and my boyfriend had the egg and bacon brioche. The flavours were fantastic and I truly enjoyed every bite. I did think the serving size was very large, maybe a bit too big- not sure if that’s a complaint though! I hate food waste so I felt the need to finish it but I definitely didn’t need that much. Unfortunately I didn’t have enough room left to indulge in a cookie today but that just leaves me an excuse to come back! I also think it is worth mentioning that the staff were also great and really efficient. I am absolutely delighted this is my new local.

This cafe was a personal favourite of mine, but until this recent experience I could never say the same thing again. I was eating my casual coffee in the midnight and I took a sip, it struck me, the coffee was.... disgusting. I had another sip and I almost puked all out on the staff, I now recommend everyone to visit a much higher quality bakery, known as francois artisan. The coffee had huge lumps of white cream making it absolutely horrid. I returned the coffee and they gave me a refund. While doing this they only gave me 20% of the cost into my refund, this made me fuming I had no choice but to make this review to spread the views of the revolting experience. Another visit I took, I ordered a breakfast egg which was covered in another white gooey substance. I was repelled, I had to complain to the staff but they claimed it was just some extra flavour. From now on I will only be taking visits to Francois Artisan bakery which I have had many great experiences with. The muffin I ordered was so stale and tasteless it disappointed me, I will never be coming back. Also FYI the cookies were so horrid that I drooled the chocolate and starting gagging on the staleless dough.

I will...

Great things come in small packages (or in this case cafés!) We went for brekkie at around 09:30, and it was very busy with people waiting for coffee, and full tables inside....all three of them 😄 very small place, but the wait time was still short, and the manager greeted us immediately and took us outside with an extra table and stools on the footpath until one inside was free. My partner ordered the breakfast bowl - superb. Fresh, tasty, great dressing - just yum. I got the roast mushroom dish and added salmon. For a start, the serving sizes are generous, particularly noticeable with ingredients such as salmon. And again the dish was delicious - well balanced, everything flavourful and cooked well. We both ordered coffee and it was great also and arrived promptly, before our breakfast.

Highly highly recommend, especially if you are patient 😊

Please don't do what an annoying person beside us was, and take up a sought after table just to use the Wi-Fi while the lone coffee you ordered somehow lasts you longer than our sitting did 😒 d*ck...
