I ordered food from here via deliveroo for the family and 2 chicken schnitzels were missing. When I called up to ask if they can deliver it free off charge because it was their mistake for forgetting the schnitzels, the woman on the phone first said that there aren’t many drivers available right now but that she’ll check. 40 min later I call back checking where the food is at, and she says that the driver couldn’t deliver it free of charge because I already refunded the amount for the 2 schnitzels in the deliveroo app and she tried calling me back but it was the “wrong number” and used the fact that they are busy as an excuse for their poor customer service. I get that people make mistakes, but at least try own up to them and actually call customers back and tell them that their food is not coming, instead of making them wait another 40 min to call and find out?? The food itself was good but not worth it if you don’t even know if all your food will come and if you have to refund, re-order and then wait a while to...
Read moreBy far my favourite chicken shop in the East. While other chicken shops have blown their prices sky high, the char are still fairly priced for the quality and quantity they offer.
I am a big fam of the quater chicken dinner box, which priced under $20, is great value. You get a nice size quater chicken with 2 large size. More then enough for 2 portions.
They have a great variety of burgers, salads and hot food.
There salads are always fresh and look great. And there hot chips are my not so secret favourite.
My last comment is on the overall taste of the food at char. While other notable chicken shops still offer good food I have found that they opt for heavily salted food and alot of dressing on their salads which for me is very off putting. I like my salt but this is getting out of hand.
Overall I will keep going to the char any chance I get. I heard a rumour that a char will be opening a store in rose bay which will bring strong competition and will very quickly...
Read moreI'm a regular customer of 3+ years, whom will now not be as I feel the customer service is not consistent with previous experiences and they're trying to charge me more than what they have in the past. $2.50 for 1 tortilla wrap X 3 is reaching. Usually I order 1 brown bread roll for $1.50 or something so I feel like I'm getting ripped off for some reason. The value doesn't fit the product. You can purchase a pack of 12 in supermarket for $2-4 so it's over 💯 mark up you're trying to profit on. Please keep in mind I'm already spending my money on orders.
Don't want this to be a bad review but you can't fool a savvy switched on consumer with price mark ups over 💯. You're cheating them essentially...
