Russkis Deli (Premium European Deli) — Restaurant in Sydney

This shop has good selection of products BUT unfortunately it's EXTREMELY OVERPRICED and cooked foods like salads or cabbage rolls with meat is NOT that tasty and make with the cheapest possible ingredients, lacking of seasoning badly and while some ingredients in some salads should be a bit crunch (like beans or pea) instead everything is a sloppy tasteless mush. Cabbage rolls tasted off bit sour inside and out like it was made 2 weeks ago or something, everything else was same bad. Girls that serve are lovely but seem to be very distracted and confused, keeps switching between each other and then forgets what she needs to do etc pure chaos!! Because of the mess they create I ended up coming home with wrong items and extra items (pastries) that I didn't ask for but obviously had to pay for it. They just get so lost if there's more than 3 people in the shop. Pickled watermelon is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED too as there's only few slices swimming in vinegar with garlic and bit of seasoning box for $13!!! Let me ask what you been smoking to come up with this recipe for this price? It's nasty take it out of that shop! Fantastic range of Russian and Slavic foodstuff with a decent selection online for pick up or home delivery. All my Russian cooking essentials are covered here like каша и гречневая мука and dried and frozen mushrooms. I was thrilled to see орешки анд блинчики (filled with either savoury or sweet - cheese and sour cherry!!!) which are very good - I don't need to bother making from scratch. I do like making my own pelmeni but their kilo packs are great to have if you aren't up for the labour in making them and they sell pierogi and vareniki too. I think I will be placing repeat orders on the Borodinsky and rye bread, oreshki, charcuterie, Russian cheese, kvas and caviar. I highly recommend the aged Moscow salami which is heaven on black bread with a smear of Russian mustard.
