I recently had a disappointing experience with Broaster Chicken Bass Hill that compelled me to share my thoughts. After calling to place an order around 6 PM Yesterday, I inquired about the estimated wait time. The staff informed me it would take approximately 50 minutes. Upon confirming this timeframe, I was met with an unexpectedly rude response. The staff member exclaimed, "Why did you order at this time? We're very busy! You should have ordered 2 to 3 hours prior!"
The blatant lack of professionalism and courtesy in their response left me utterly disappointed. It's unacceptable for a business to treat their customers with such disrespect, especially when it's a simple inquiry about wait times. The staff member's tone was not only abrasive but also completely devoid of any sense of customer service ethics.
Feeling thoroughly disheartened by this encounter, I promptly ended the call without proceeding with my order. Based on this unpleasant interaction alone, I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone to order from Broaster Chicken Bass Hill. I sent my teenaged son and son in law to get food, I was on FaceTime with my son telling him the order and I hear the gentleman behind the counter yell at him to hurry up while he was already telling him what we wanted.after being there for 20 mins they started speaking in Arabic WHICH I UNDERSTAND, “oh he’s still here what’s he doing here??” Mate? Really? He’s waiting for our $60 odd dollar order he placed. My son in law who is completely fluent in Arabic heard the workers while they sat and berated a 13 year old child who was waiting for his order. My son in law proceeds to tell him we’re paying customers have some respect for people sitting in your establishment when the same man who took the order says to him “don’t do my head in I swear to god” never EVER AGAIN. Worst service , worst experience, absolute rubbish treatment. They are constantly yelling at each other, they seem very disorganised. I was once ordering, and after each item I ordered the guy walks away yelling a bunch of instructions to his colleague then comes back surprised I'm still standing there, then I say then next item and he walks away again. It happened for all 3 things I ordered. Just wait 10 seconds, let me tell you everything I want and go do whatever it is you need to do.
It seems they play favourites, sometimes their friends come in and order and they get their order before others even though they ordered after everyone else.
They also had this phase where they kept trying to force customers to pay cash even though they've been accepting card for years telling customers to go in the shopping centre to pull out cash. They've raised prices so much and then they want to make more money by dodging tax by forcing customer to pay cash. It's not until I threaten to walk away that they'll finally accept card. Thankfully they've stopped doing this.
