Burger Barrel — Restaurant in Sydney

When you're in the mood for the stereotypical "greasy" burger (meaning loaded with good ingredients, not greasy per say), this is the spot. Pretty much all the chicken burgers are great (Peri Peri, Southern Chicken etc) as well as the Fish Burger with quinoa. The side salad (iceberg with dill dressing) is excellent and refreshes the palette afterwards. Have not tried any of the vegetarian / vegan burgers because I had the best ones of my life in Cronulla circa 1995, Surry Hills in 1998 and Laguna Beach in 1999 and everything else since has just fallen short. I do wish the schnitzels were not fried to a crisp but no place is perfect, lol. I feel bad that UberEats takes such a large chunk from delivery services at the cost of the restaurant but am glad we can get delivery. I agree with one of the other customers regarding cleanliness. Old food in cracks. Yuk!

Has one griled barramundi burger and a Coogee burger. The first one was lack of some special sauce and should not have quinoa in it as it makes no sense! The second burger was just lack of something interesting. It was ok. The bun was a square one you find in Woollies in a pack of six. I was wondering why it was different from the other burger? Did they run out of it and grabbed some from the supermarket next door? Not sure.

The atmosphere was nice. Music is at a correct level. Lifting is soft. Service was ok but they should have served our orders at the same time so my partner doesn't have to watch me eat!

All in all we had an ok time here but this place needs a little more...

Went in on a tuesday night as it is Advertised in several places in the shop 'All Burgers on the menu $5' which seems like an awesome deal because some burgers are about $18 each! its not until you go there and lineup with your Burger selection for a response ' that will be $18 please' "Hey sorry arent all burgers $5?"
