Karly / Carly told us on Anzac Day we couldn't come in because we wanted to bring Connect 4 inside. We are now playing it outside. We play this everywhere. She was really quite rude too, we treated her with respect and asked why it isn't allowed inside at the tables, she replied "BECAUSE I SAID SO". Everyone in the line was shocked because we were all playing and the line was taking so long. We had been waiting 10 minutes and we had moved less than a metre. Also we were sober and looking to go dance, have fun and bring a happy, friendly vibe. As we left she mocked us to the rest of the line snickering "they're trying to play Connect 4 in a nightclub!" she was unsuccessful at mocking us as no one laughed and everyone waved goodbye to us for the fun time we had in line and the good happy vibe we created in an otherwise dull situation. 1. It's a dinner venue and tabled area. Not a nightclub. 2. It was Anzac Day, a day about community and comradery and friendship. I think the band probably missed us too because they were laughing and one guy kept giving us the thumbs up when we were playing Jenga, band was great. Lost a customer. *** Responding to your below response *** You wrote: "Unfortunately many people have also been drinking all day and are argumentative when they can’t do as they please in our venue. In this case this is what we have" 1. If you took some time out to fully read my review you would see that it states we were sober. 2. Just because a guy I know was in the line with no shirt and shoes does not mean that I should not be allowed in because I have brought Connect 4. Also your final passive aggressive reply: "Enjoy your connect 4 and and remember to share a thought for those amazing incredible diggers of the past who fought and won your right to complain about not being able to play connect 4!" Anzac Day is about sacrifice, friendship and comradery in the worst of times and supporting those who fought for freedom. Just like the diggers would play 2Up. I felt Connect 4 could be a fun game to connect community at your tabled venue. Hope it was worth it kicking up a stink about friendship and community on Anzac Day. P.s band was great and they were lovely guys.

visited coogee Beach on boxing day after a late start so looking for something brunchy. this cafe/restaurant was prominent on the corner of the main street with inside and outside dining so we gave it a try. We ordered the big breakfast + 1 extra toast to share and coffee and tea. it was certainly big enough (for us) to share and the coffee was very good. so that's the food experience taken care of. what's interesting is how the whole ordering system works - perhaps a sign of where we're going...You need to register before entering the place and the VERY friendly young lady at the entrance guides you through the process. interestingly, you need to order by connecting your phone to the restaurant "hub" (for want of a better word ) and then the menu appears on your phone and you simply make your selections, pay and the order is sent through. It is obvious how this contactless system is beneficial ,especially for management. the way of the future? perhaps. importantly, the 2 senior staff make it clear they are there to help if needed. overall, very satisfactory and recommended.

We got burgers. $28? Nothing fancy to order, but still, buns were a bit stale and tasteless, and I have to pay an extra $8 for fries. Wagyu burger was OK. Fish burger patty was thin and dry. I didn't taste any fish, to be honest. Lemonade lime bitters is made with soda and squash, not lemonade, and bitters was virtually non-existent. I had to go and ask for more, and even then, it just wanted weird. LLB is with lemonade, not lemon squash. LJH is well-patronised, probably for location and rustic style, and maybe more for the alcohol. I've been before for that. Espresso martini. It's OK. Coffee, well ... I go to Coogee Kiosk across the road for that. LJH play loud Latin music from 5:30am for attention. Not very aware for the time of day. So, I don't get the attraction. As I mentioned, location and decor. Shutters Coogee Beach is a 3min walk up the road. Quieter, less traffic noise, similar menu prices for much better quality food, cleaner style without being sterile. Go there. Or, if it's burgers you want, Betty's Burgers is next door.

Overpriced. Hopeless service. Rude barista. Staff are obsessed with QR codes and their darn app!

The service in this place is appalling and one of the worst in Sydney. I asked for a physical menu, and they kept referring me to the QR codes on the table for their online menu. When I explained that it's because I'm vegan, and asked what vegan options they have, the waiter had zero clue on what I was asking for and directed me to the vegetarian-marked items on their menu. He said that the chef confirmed that salads can be made vegan. When I ordered at the counter I was asked why I'm not ordering through the QR code. I explained it’s because I'm veggie, I want to make sure the order is done correctly. The barista was RUDE and responded that she can get back to me, but I need to wait. Finally the water comes to my table, and says that the salads AREN'T vegan because of the dressing. I ended up with juice and no lunch - I dodged a bullet because my friends paid $30 for a salad.

This was a really frustrating experience. Staff are incompetent to seamlessly handle questions, and they made me feel inadequate.

Recommendation: their staff need training to understand their menu and dietary requirements. Staff need to ditch the rude attitude and be friendlier. Regardless of public holidays, $30 for a salad is ridiculous any day of the week.

They get one star for their humour content - this place is ridiculous and an...

Not Recommended. We visit the restaurant this stunning afternoon, and what happened to us just ruined the entire day. As if we been told by the stuff standing at the entrance, we need to scan the QR code to get the menu, none of us using an Iphone, the phone is not scanning at all, so we have to ask for a actual paper menu, the menu doesn't include drinks, and no staff was on the floor offering help, so i manage to download an App to finally get the menu. when we trying to pay from the menu page, it requires me to input my email address, when it finally getting to the paying page, i could choose to pay by paypal or card, i don't have my actual card on hand, get used to tap my phone.

i find a lady stand behind the bar, asked her help to order manually for us since the website is bit complicated, she was rude and aggressive asked back " how complicated?". : ) anyway she got me the order and she has to ask someone else to get me to tap.

when we about to leaving, i wanted to say thank you and good-bye to them, only one guy was standing behind the bar, i was about to smile to him and he noticed we are leaving, i was looking to him, he then stop eye contact with me pretend he never saw us leaving.

This restaurant has no customer service, staffs shows no respect and unprofessional. im not sure they been rude to us because we are asian or because they been trained to not...
