Located at 253 Coogee Bay Road, Coogee, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. This is an extremely popular hotel located directly across the street from Coogee Beach 🏖️. It can get very crowded and noisy. Especially with the younger crowd. You can also stay here at the Hotel. You have a choice between the Boutique Rooms which are located behind the main hotel and the Bay Rooms which are above the Main Bar. I didn’t stay in the hotel but my friend did and she was happy with the decor and cleanliness. There’s a great selection to choose from when you are having something to eat at Coogee Bay Hotel. You can choose from the The Garden, Marra Bar & Grill (which offers a breakfast menu for people staying) and also the Sports Bar has a few items that you can choose from. Because it gets so crowded, parking 🅿️ can be very limited. There is live music every Friday to Sunday in the Garden and Marra Bar & Grill and every Wednesday and Thursday in the Garden during January and February. There’s also Trivia nights on Tuesdays, Pool Competition Nights on Wednesdays and Happy Hour from Monday to Friday from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. There’s also good deals on meals in mainly the Sports Bar on particular days of the week. I like to come here for a nice lunch when coming to Coogee. I have been several times, both when it’s busy and when it’s quiet and definitely it’s more enjoyable when it’s quiet. Saying this, I have never had a bad experience here and the food has always been delicious 😋. I especially love the pizzas 🍕. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thumbs Up!! 👍👍👍👍

We were really disappointed with our stay at Coogee Bay, we chose to stay here to celebrate our anniversary and it fell really short of our expectations of a four star hotel offering. We had booked a room which was on the top floor without knowing there was no lift access. Although we had assistance for one of our cases on the way to our room, you are expected to carry suitcases up narrow flights of stairs. Our biggest issue was with the cleanliness and smell of the bathroom, which I politely brought to the attention of the duty manager at the time. I was promptly told a cleaner would be sent to sort it out but I didn’t feel I had appropriate opportunity to fully express my concerns before being dismissed. It was clear I wasn’t listened too when the bathroom remained unsatisfactory after a cleaner attended. As the photos show, there is a clear lack of attention to detail which should come with a four star hotel. Not once did any member of staff check in to see if our issues had been resolved to our satisfaction. Another thing to mention is that the music from the courtyard below plays loud into the night even at 11pm on a Tuesday evening when no one is in the courtyard. There are gaps in the doors which also prevent sound proofing. The room shutters do not block the bright lights from outside making it very difficult to get a good night sleep. We would recommend considering other options if you are looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

We booked an ocean view room above the pub. Let's start with the positives. The location and the view was great. Now the negatives... They warned us prior to our stay that there may be some noise from the bar below, which is normally not an issue, but the live music that went until 2.30am felt like it was in our room. It was INCREDIBLY loud, the room was shaking. The live music should have been noted in the pre-travel information, this is not general bar noise, or least offer ear plugs to those staying in this room. It was absolutely horrible, we could not and did not sleep and had to leave early the next morning. In addition to the music, there was an outside kitchen situated right outside our window on the same balcony, where they sorted culterly loudly for literally 48 hours. Why could this not be done inside away from booked rooms!? They also stored seveal outside chair cushions in our hotel room, which is unprofessional and took up space. These should have been stored these in an empty room or a storage area. The bathroom was dirty, rusted, and generally not clean. The hotel is a maze and there is no signage to find your way to the reception. Follow the blue line, we found this out after walking around for 20 minutes trying to find someone to ask. I would absolutely not stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone. For the price we paid, which was quite alot, it was absolutely not worth it.

Review of Coggee Bay Hotel Pub

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Coggee Bay Hotel Pub, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that instantly made me feel welcome.

The pub itself has a charming and rustic decor, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. The layout is well-designed, with comfortable seating areas that cater to both small groups and larger gatherings. Whether you're looking for a quiet corner to enjoy a pint or a lively space to socialize with friends, Coggee Bay Hotel Pub has got you covered.

The drink selection at this pub is impressive. They offer an extensive range of beers on tap, including a variety of local craft brews. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about their offerings, and they're more than happy to recommend a drink that suits your preferences. The prices are reasonable, and the quality of the beverages is excellent.

One of the highlights of my visit was the food. The pub serves up a fantastic menu that combines classic pub grub with modern twists. From mouthwatering burgers and hearty steaks to delicious vegetarian options, there's something to satisfy every palate. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were well-balanced, and the portion sizes were generous. I particularly enjoyed their signature dish, the Coggee Bay Platter, which showcased a delectable assortment of seafood delights.

The service at Coggee Bay Hotel Pub was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient. They went out of their way to ensure that every guest had a memorable experience. Whether you needed assistance with the menu, recommendations for drinks, or simply a friendly chat, they were always ready to assist with a smile.

In addition to the great food and drink, the pub also hosts regular live entertainment events, including live music performances and pub quizzes. These events add an extra layer of excitement and make Coggee Bay Hotel Pub a vibrant hub for both locals and visitors alike.

Overall, I highly recommend Coggee Bay Hotel Pub. It offers a fantastic blend of quality drinks, delicious food, and exceptional service. Whether you're looking for a casual place to unwind after a long day or a lively spot to celebrate with friends, this pub is a must-visit...

My friend and I went to Coogee Bay Hotel 11.3.23 and were disgusted by the service we received. We ordered fish and chips and they came to our table within a few minutes of ordering, stone cold, soggy and unpalatable. It was obvious that it had been cooked a long time ago, and they took the opportunity to serve a previously cooked meal. We mentioned to the chef that we received a meal that was cold, and he took the meal, refried it and served it back to us. We knew this because we had chopped a piece off the fish when we first tried it, and the same piece of fish was then served back to us. We would have happily waited for a fresh meal to be cooked and served - but we did not receive a fresh meal. The chef also then smirked at my friend as the old meal (refried) was then served back to us. We couldn’t eat it. One, for food safety reasons, and two, because it tasted refried and stale, so we asked for a refund. The initial waiter was polite and listened to our concern. She however had to get her manager to process the refund. We were then met with rude management questioning our complaint. The manager stated, it is not protocol to provide a refund for food that has already been provided, and said “we do not serve cold food”. She only then processed the refund when we explained that we would be posting a review about this online. My friend and I have had many years of experience working in the hospitality industry, and were really disappointed by the customer service we experienced. We rarely make a complaint about meals we have received, but we couldn’t eat what was served to us. The manager’s behaviour was so rude that my friend became distressed and upset. Really disappointing Coogee Bay Hotel, really disappointing. We will never be returning to Coogee Bay Hotel and will be advising our friends and family to do the same so they do not have to experience what we...
