First off, I like this place and will return. There are some good dishes, some curious execution and well, less good dishes...no duds! I'd say that the barramundi is most likely the south Asian farmed kind...very nicely cooked with a good "harissa" (Lebanese version of course)...wild? Not so sure. The dips are all great with a well defined babaganoush, piquant labne, and a hummus that's as heavy on the Tahini as any I've ever had...its as rich as Elon. The bread is excellent. The felafel are crisp, but heavy as a wet track. The pickles are standard Auburn quality, neither better nor worse. The knefeh is stunning. The fermented cheese salad is a hard core salt and cheese experience, that needs to be teamed with tabouleh or fetoush aside to calm the welcome assault. The kofta are above average, the biwaz bread excellent though I'd like the garlic dip to be more punchy. The service is terrific and as homely as a lebanese village. I love Lebanon, and I love lebanese dining in Sydney. There's enough I like about dining here to return. Its no better or worse than the good standard set by Al aseel and others in Sydney. We're lucky to...

Byblos is a high quality Lebanese restaurant that is reasonably priced for what excellent cuisine they provide.

The restaurant has a lovely modern floral, marble and gold decor accompanied by ambient Lebanese background music. The restaurant owner is very pleasant, kind, and happily engages in conversation while serving.

Although our tabouli and triple dip entrees seem like simple dishes, they were presented beautifully and tasted high above average.

The grilled halloumi and chili potatoโ€™s were quite pleasant and full of aromatic flavour. The cauliflower was a particular favorite of mine, as they were very crispy, slightly sweet and complimented with a tahini sauce.

For our main meal, we ordered the mixed grill; an assortment of lamb, chicken and beef kebabs arranged beautifully on the plate. Each kebab was tender and coated in flavourful, aromatic spices which perfectly paired with onion stuffed flatbreads, garlic and mouhamara dips.

Although stuffed, the high quality of our meal so far convinced us to try the rice pudding and pistachio ice cream from the dessert menu, both of which were...

Byblos restaurant, located on Bondi Road, is an absolute gem that exceeded all my expectations. Had a pleasure enjoying the divine meals with couple of my girl friends last night. The moment I stepped inside, I was immediately captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere, which flawlessly captured the essence of the Middle Eastern vibes. Byblos boasts a menu filled with beautifully crafted and authentic Lebanese dishes that left me craving for more. Each plate was a culinary masterpiece, carefully prepared using the freshest ingredients and bursting with mouthwatering flavors. From the aromatic spices to the tender meats, every bite was a delightful journey through Lebanese cuisine. What truly set Byblos apart was their exceptional customer service. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, going above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Their passion for Lebanese cuisine shone through as they enthusiastically guided me through the menu, offering recommendations and making me feel like a valued guest. Can't...

This wouldโ€™ve been a 5 star review for the food. However, we left feeling scammed after they charged us $12 for a complimentary starter which we never ordered. While we were waiting for food a sever bought out a โ€œmixed pickles plateโ€. My partner and I assumed that this plate was complimentary and tried a few pieces. We would never have ordered it ourselves as we neither of us really like pickles. No mention was made at any point that we were expected to pay for it. We only realised after we left that the restaurant had overcharged us by $12 and by then it was too late to turn back and dispute the cost. What was meant to be a rare treat meal out to celebrate my partner being offered a new job, left us feel angry and upset.

We discovered Byblos purely by chance three weeks ago and boy were we glad that we did. Not many restaurants deserve 5/5 but this is one of them. The food was absolutely delicious, reasonably priced for the location and the serving size was also generous. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. We had a great time and a delicious meal. What more can you ask for? I really hope you guys keep it up and don't let the standards slip. We will visit you again soon.
