Cafe Carmelos and Co — Restaurant in Sydney

We live in the area and we always try to support local businesses. We have never been to this cafe before as parking can be tricky however we made an effort to go and have lunch there. The lady “owner” wasn’t friendly and to be honest I found her quiet rude. I was indecisive as to what I wanted to order and she rushed me along as though she had something else better to do or there were other customers in the cafe. (we were the only ones there at the time) The cafe wasn’t kid friendly as there were crystals everywhere within arms reach from my 2 yr old son who wanted to touch everything. I tried my best to keep him from touching anything. As a result I accidentally knocked over my banana milkshake and the drink spilled onto the floor. I offered to help clean up but the lady responded in such a rude manner, pretty much asked us to get up and leave. Accidents do happen lady and it’s not a way to treat your customers. It wasn’t like I did it on purpose and I tried to help. We had the bacon and egg roll which was ok but nothing to write home about and I had the chicken lemon and herbs wrap which again was average. The banana milkshake was terrible as it was made from banana syrup and not fresh. Considering the bad customer service, I would never come back here or recommend this place to anyone....

I have been to this cafe a couple of times. The 1st time I found the lady owner to be very rude and I was shocked at how she spoke to me. Some time passed and I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake. The guy that took my coffee order was lovely. However the lady owner then came to the counter and started to make the coffee. The way in which she spoke to her staff was absolutely terrible and so disrespectful. I was absolutely shocked and couldn’t believe the way in which she spoke to her staff.

I was then looking at the crystals while waiting on my coffee and I was very rudely asked not to touch anything by the lady.

I like to be able to support local businesses as much as I can and I’m sorry to say this is a local cafe I can not recommend and will not support. Manners costs nothing. Yes we all have bad days. But to be rude to customers and then speak down to your staff in front of customers is just...

I went to get a coffee here and had the blonde junky looking lady call me darling in a very over the top way and asked me what I wanted as if I was a child. Im a 33 year old woman.

I pointed out her toning came off very condescending and her response was to laugh say “ok darling” and continued with her then following me out of the shop as I walked past throwing her hands at me, yelling “you have issues” and sticking her finger up at me clearly tying to intimidate me and showing that her original pet names where clearly fake endearment.

Whats funny is the second I pulled out my phone to record her behaviour, she stopped because she was embarrassed and clearly knew what she was doing was wrong and didnt want to be caught.

Im sure like other reviews I’ll get a salty reply but she just makes herself look bad thinking she can...
