I normally don’t write reviews but felt compelled to after having the high tea so that people can be warned before wasting $50 per head on what is essentially supermarket food. I also don’t want to be unkind to any small business that might be struggling during this pandemic but that is no excuse to serve sub-standard food. As hard as we tried, my friend and I could barely eat a bite of the high tea. The photo shows what was served - the scones were dense, as were the vanilla cupcakes which came with 1-2 day old cream cheese icing. The bar cakes were dry, crumbly and had no discernible flavour. The yoghurt was a dollop of strawberry yoplait with some sprinkled muesli. The strawberry tart was filled with a tasteless cream and the same old cream cheese icing that adorned the cupcake. Finally the mochi tasted like it was pulled directly from a packet and the macarons resembled what you’d find at your local Coles.

However, the one positive was that the tuna finger sandwiches were freshly made and the bread was soft and fresh. If the cafe is trying to implement cost-cutting measures during COVID-19 they would be better off reducing the number of items served and favouring quality over quantity. Lastly, the place is tiny so all tables are outside (not sure if that is the norm or that was to comply with social distancing orders) on the side of a road immediately off busy Parramatta road in an industrial area. So if you like your high tea served with a side of dust, you won’t be...

We saw this cafe on Instagram, the pics for food and high tea set look so attractive and amazing, then we booked for a high tea set. Firstly we were told not allowed to cancel booking and they will not return the booking fee which is half price. It was $50 ppl, so expensive!! But we were so disappointed after we got there. They are definitely overpriced!!! Secondly, if you don’t drive and come by public transport, it’s so inconvenient!! after u got off bus or train, u have to walk for a while. And we could only sit outside. 3rdly, the lattes tasted just like milk.. and flavourless! desserts were too sweet and there was a weird smell and taste of strawberry tarts! Others taste very dry! With such a costly price that you can have a high class high tea somewhere else, this place is really not worth to go and definitely has been overhyped!!! Very disappointed! Don’t believe the nice pics guys!! The small portion in the pic...

very pretty high tea special ( I prefer to say afternoon tea tho , a high tea is not an afternoon tea. In fact, the term “high tea” designates a particular meal; a meal that does not take place in the afternoon. High tea is a thing eaten at 6PM, define it as the early evening meal of working people )

the high tea set has to be booked in advance taste were pretty good and right everything’s seems done right I didn’t like the scones, they were not scones-like, there were like bread instead the mochi thing were quite impressive, pudding were a bit sweet, blueberry one were YUM !

service is good, small and cozy cafe but they close quite early ( usual Sydney cafe opening time ) but think about we were having “afternoon tea” ?!?! 🤔

The high tea set was not cheap at all, they were quite pricey especially think about the location and choices, $55 per pax including...

I’ll start by saying that I only went for high tea and I would not recommend it. While the presentation was lovely, the desserts were not what we expected. I’ll try to keep this as factual as possible; I completely understand that it’s a small business and I don’t mean to take away from that. The servers were friendly and really helpful on all counts. The high tea however was disappointing. The cupcakes were dry (a hair was found in one), the the fruits in the cheesecake were frozen solid, the bread on the salmon sliders was very tough and chewy, and the macaroons were good, but hollow instead of chewy. There were no stand outs for me, but I did like the scones and mochi. Overall, the downsides made it difficult to enjoy. I hope that this isn’t taken as a slam, just a note that presentation is important, but not everything.
