👍 Matcha 🍵 latte and desserts (tried Swiss roll and Tart). Felt the matcha latte was purposely made less sweet so it goes very well with matcha desserts and allow to taste the matcha flavor in each (unlike Starbucks’s over sweeten matcha latte which itself is kind of a dessert 😅) Also, very impressed with their take away containers - fully made of paper, and good quality one, including the cover of the benton box and the cover of the cup. 👍👍👍 The store is right at the corner of Harris St and Allan St, but easy to miss it because there is no sign outside… 😅 Glade I found it through words of mouth and it will be a sweet treats place to go to in the future. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 💚 2nd visit in store, tried Matcha fondant and muffin! really like the fondant! However, wonder if the Matcha flavour will stand out more if the cake base is matcha or vanilla cake instead of chocolate 😆… The matcha ice cream is really nice. Muffin is a bit too big and filling even for 2 to share as it is very rich filled with red beans and cheese (?) Again, great Matcha latte, not too sweet so just great company to the desserts.

- Located on the outskirts of the city so requires a decent walk to get too (lovely walk though + has a bus stop in front of the cafe so you can catch a bus from central to the cafe) - Quiet and small interior with limited seating (no outdoor seating) - Neutral service, not horrible, not amazing - The iced matcha latte has an earthy, savoury flavour (not bitter) although would be better with more ice cubes to make it colder. Personally have had better iced matcha lattes and wouldn’t say this one stands out - The matcha roll cake was okay, with subtle matcha flavour and the matcha macadamia cookie tasted like wood and was quite dry (personally would not recommend the matcha cookie) - Prices were average and food selection was good too! (Some items weren’t displayed but were in stock so we just asked for them)

Haven't been to this place in a while. We were a bit disappointed when they served the matcha in cheap plastic cups than their usual Japanese matcha bowls coz it was such a novelty and lovely tradition. This was one of the many reasons that kept us returning to this place! The plates they served the desserts in also looked really cheap. Although the good quality of the food and drinks made up for the cheap presentation. Goes to show how much of an impact presentation can make as most people eat with their eyes! They said they were under new management so hopefully they bring them back!! Anyway they still one of the best matcha lattes! Would give a 5⭐️ if they brought back the bowls 😊🍵🍃

Used to love it when the store was in the city. Came by many many times.

Brought 2 of my friends to the new shop on Harris St a few days ago. 1 stuck in a traffic so 2 of us ordered drinks first while we were waiting.

Friend arrived and ordered another drink, sat down and we started to chat and were planning to order food and sweets in a few minutes.

Then the waitress came over and started to move 1 of those little tables away from us without asking. We said - hey we have 3 people sitting here, and will need that table for food soon. She goes - you’re going to order food?! We - yes we are. She - but soon, right? We - yeah soon. She didn’t take her hands off the table, stood there and repeated loudly: “but SOON, RIGHT?”

She was so loud that everyone in the shop stopped and looked at us, as if we haven’t ordered ANYTHING and is taking a table of 3 for a long time (bare in mind the shop is so tiny there’re practically only 4 seats which allow about 10-12people max to sit down at the same time) My friend didn’t wanna argue so stood up to the counter to order. All food and drinks lost their taste after that.

If you wanna take more customers, rent a BIGGER shop. Don’t throw attitude on customers who’re paying in front of everyone thinking this will embarrass them enough so they’d order more or leave.

Also, NO air con - only 2 fans that barely did anything. Shop is hotter inside than out. NO bathroom - when asked, waitress goes “we don’t have a bathroom, I don’t think there’s a public bathroom nearby. You can go out, turn left and start walking to try to find one? But I’m not sure”. What a joke. Loud - don’t go if you’re trying to have a chat with people. Busy bus stop is right in front of the shop.

Will never go back or recommend any friend to go either. What an embarrassment on me too taking my friends there for...

Came Sunday morning and ordered the most delicious muffin and coffee I’ve ever had, greeted by a super friendly staff. Sunday well spent!

Except until an old asian guy with a dog came in and started making drama about the staff. Out of the blue the guy started throwing tantrum to the staff, who was super friendly and just trying to answer all his questions. Based on his questions/intonations, I figured it’s because the staff didn’t entertain his talks enough. If you’re lonely and looking for a company instead of spending a beautiful day relaxing at the cafe, please go somewhere else. What a drama queen.

I have been to the shop a few times and I’m pretty sure the shop doesn’t allow dogs i side if you’re having food/drinks there. But this guy brings his dog inside and did not bother holding the leash, letting his dog roams around. Not everyone likes dogs. And he didn’t ask permission from the staff first. Such an entitled attitude.

So glad that he would not be coming back ruining the beautiful Japanese interior and a relaxing atmosphere of the shop combine with a lovely jazz music in the background. Oh did I forget to say their matcha and coffee is the...
