bottomless brunch aka me getting trashed at 1pm on mimosas 😝🍹 for just $30 and the purchase of a main meal, you can get unlimited mimosas for 90mins @socialbrewcafe! we def took advantage of it and had about 7 each HAHAHA it was such a good time 🥰 we got the watermelon and feta salad which was honestly one of the best salads ive ever had! 🍉 it was sweet, fresh, salty, just everything was perfect about it, and im not usually a salad gal (if you couldn't tell 🥴) we got a wagyu beef burger which was also really good, loved the blended beetroot spread! 🍔 also got another cocktail on top bc it sounded so good! the 'blueberry fizz' had a strong ginger taste with blueberry notes 🤤 and ofc the mimosas were good too! service was amazing, staff were so friendly and pretty fast with topping us up with our mimosas too! definitely see myself coming back, it's a great deal tbh 😉 2nd visit update: truffle still can't win me over but i didn't hate its subtlety, esp mixed with another hard hitter of flavour like parmesan cheese 🧀 otherwise Jess this dish was all for you 😂 i really loved the simplicity of this beef burger though; surprisingly bc i tend to like my burgs super loaded up 🍔 the caramelised onions and perfectly cooked patty really made this burger stand out for me. she's a lil sloppy but i really liked it! heaps generous w chippies too 🍟 the hotcakes were delish as an after, drowned in syrup and doused in icing sugar, the fruit was sweet and the cake was soft and airy 🍓 there's an option to add bacon but it honestly didn't need it, perfectly balanced as is! check out my food instagram @erinxeats for more!

Sundays are made for brunching. Well, in our case.. late brunching! We all know how hard it's been on the hospitality industry lately, so it was great to see the place busy when we arrived. Even though staff were running around for service, we were still welcomed warmly and looked after from the moment we were seated through to when we left. We really appreciated that. First thing I wanted to order was the 'Mushroom & Parmesan Bruschetta'. This had black truffle oil, soft poached free range eggs and crème fraîche on white sourdough bread. Their servings on this was very generous which of course meant that it was going to be loaded with flavour. It was just beautiful! The other savoury dish we ordered was the 'Wagyu Beef Burger'. Most wagyu burgers I order have 'the lot' but this one had the burger patty, house made bourbon & bacon bbq sauce, cheddar cheese caramelised onion and lettuce. Loved how smoky and rich this was and it was great to see the patty cooked as it should, which is medium. PS; the fries that came with this were SO GOOD! For a sweeter dish, we ordered the 'Ricotta Hotcakes' with maple marinated strawberries and pistachio butter. This was my favourite dish. The hotcakes were soft, hot and fluffy. Side note, you can order this with maple bacon. We didn't do it this time round, but I think it would taste incredible so I'll do it next time! Aaaaand we ordered a couple of boozy beverages. I had the 'Bloody Harissa Mary' because hello, Bloody Marys! Yep, it was freakn' refreshing and delicious.

Great coffee! Today is the third day in a row. I've been out to buy coffee somewhere, and where I've picked has been perfect. I chose here based on walking distance from my accommodation and the pics posted by other reviewers. The food looks so good. I was torn between ordering the eggs bennie and the loaded double double. My waitress cleared it up when she said the double is very filling, so I decided to give it a miss and try the eggs bennie. It did not disappoint. It is NOT your average eggs bennie. The description with the kale I was like, I'm not a fan of kale, but I left it to the end of the meal, and it is pretty amazing. That Krispy texture where it almost disintegrates off the stalk onto your fork is amazing. I ate the whole thing, and apart from a little of the brioche, I pretty much cleaned the plate. The staff are so pleasant & helpful & I barely took a breath and my coffee arrived, couldn't have even been 5 mins for my food to arrive after ordering. Mind you, I did arrive right on opening, but I would say by 8.15am, they had a decent amount of customers, both takeaway & sit down. It wasn't until I was leaving that I noticed the legs of the tables were very old singer sewing stands and I figured that was just a bit quirky & cool

Bustling cafe in the heart of Pyrmont, probably most well-known for their M&M Spill (please bring this back :P). I visited Social Brew Cafe for lunch over the weekend and was greeted with a packed cafe and friendly staff. My friend and I ordered the Chicken Breast Burger and Wagyu Beef Burger which came with fries and the Pomegranate and Elder Flower Organic Soda and Pink Grapefruit Organic Soda. Presentation was simple but inviting and I loved how the burgers were plated on boards. The burgers were tasty and portions were definitely big enough for me however my friend didn't feel as full as I did and probably could've eaten another burger. I enjoyed the grilled onion and tomato chutney in the wagyu beef burger and my friend enjoyed the mango ginger chutney and slaw in the chicken breast burger however we both agreed that the protein didn't really shine in either burgers. The fries were a great accompaniment and paired well with their respective sauces - chilli mayo and tomato sauce. The drinks had a lovely flavour and were refreshing - would recommend the pomegranate and elder flower drink! Overall, I enjoyed the food there and would definitely visit again to try different menu items; keen to try their ricotta hotcakes!

I was here for breakfast on Oct 1, only because it was listed in some article when I googled breakfast place nearby my hotel. Quite busy, but there were a few empty seats inside. Coffee was great, food was so so. I had the salmon & avo on a flat bread. The bread was cold, chewy and soggy-ish, its not easy to eat. I have no idea why this place is such a hype with this quality of food. The service was super sucks. When I waved my hand and called the staff for bill, he was like pretending not hearing and not looking at me. Even another guest sit next to me helped me call him and any staff, but none of them were paying attention too. How bizarre. Third attempt, my colleague called with louder voice, then one of them responded and said we must pay directly at cashier. It’s not a big place, not that crowded, so train your servers to pay more attention to the customers. Just because you are listed in “hype breakfast place” doesnt mean you can snobbishly ignore your customers. Regret coming here at the first place, not recommended.

We came here on the long weekend to try out their new special dish M&M Spill. It’s pretty busy cafe packed with locals and weekend brunch goers but lucky that they do telephone reservations! Hence, it only took us 5 min to settled into our seats and start ordering our food. I ordered my chai in a pot as per usual and my partner ordered his cappuccino as per usual as well. His cappuccino came with this cute little fish drawing on the latte art. The M&M spill waffles was pretty interesting. I have seen some similar gravity defying creations before and have always been waiting for someone to bring this to Sydney! The waffles themselves were made perfect! The chocolate sauce and salted caramel chantilly were the perfect toppings for this sweet dish. We have also ordered Ricotta Hotcakes with added bacons and that was pretty well made as well. The service at this cafe was pretty good as well. Staff were friendly, quick and efficient. I would definitely visit them again if I am around the area.
