I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the food and coffee was quite nice and very pleasing to look at, albeit a bit overpriced.

When we arrived we were not aware of the sign that said “1 hour seating limit”, there was a 4 seater table available and they pointed for us to sit at the bench by the window (which we were okay with because there’s only two of us). The staff was welcoming and I didn’t experience a rude attitude or anything like the other reviews. However, as we were working through our two main meals (prawn squid ink pasta & wagyu egg rice with truffle) & coffees, the staff kept removing our plates one by one and hovering near, it made us feel like we should hurry up and leave. Then when I was down to half a cup of coffee, the staff approached us and told us there’s only 5 minutes left for our seats, and only then told us it’s a one hour seating limit.

I can totally understand the need to have a seating limit as it’s a small space cafe & seems popular so must get quite busy. But we came on a Monday, and the cafe was actually almost empty by the time we ate our mains, there was only 1 or 2 other tables seated when we were told we only had 5 minutes left. And tbh, even if they hadn't mentioned this, I was about to finish my coffee and leave in the next 15 minutes anyway.

I am perplexed by this way of doing business. Wouldn’t you want your cafe to have some customers seated as it looks more enticing to other potential customers this way? Why would you effectively kick out customers who have paid over $80 out when your cafe is almost empty?! And why not verbally inform your customers of the seating limit instead of expecting every customer to just know this?

It was disappointing. I’ve not experienced this before even from other popular cafes that have a seating limit and a line waiting outside. The limit is always gently explained before sitting down and it always makes sense in the context as the place would be very obviously busy. But being “kicked out” of an empty cafe? First time. Especially after...

After years of wanting to visit this place, we finally did. Saturday morning was busy but we were seated right away and the service was quick. We ordered an orange and green juice to kickstart our morning with a healthy drink. Mains we ordered were the squid ink pasta with king prawns and creamy pasta with scallop and prawns.

The squid ink pasta I found was a bit lacking in flavour and it was missing some sauce, although you can get a bit of it from the king prawns that were placed on top of the pasta, that should enhance the taste. The colour on the pasta was aesthetically pleasing to the eye and the plating was pretty. Overall if the dish had a bit more sauce it would’ve been a stand out dish! But don’t let my opinion discourage you from trying this dish as everyone’s palate is different!

The scallops and prawn pasta were creamy with a nice kick to it. The spice wasn’t overpowering and it was delicious - It was packed with a lot of flavour but I wouldn’t recommend it to those with little-to-no spice tolerance. I would’ve liked the scallops to have been a bit more seared, however I was seemingly shocked at the size of their scallops, it was huge! To end my thoughts about this, every element of the dish complemented well with each other. It was a heavy dish for me so for those with smaller appetite’s, come hungry!

I would like to visit this place again to try the other food and drinks listed on their menu.

Staff are welcoming and friendly so I definitely recommend this place to anyone who’d like great service and try out their nice selection of mixed...

ROUND UP THE GIRLIES for the perfect Christmas girl brunch ✨🌸✨🌸✨🌸

Last week I got the chance to meet with a bunch of BEAUTIFUL fun foodies to try @twosis.eatsyd and their new Christmas menu! And I have never had a more beautiful brunch in my life 🥰🥰✨✨🌸🌸 Every single drink and dish was a work of ART and the vibes in pyrmont are always amazing 🥰

From their NEW CHRISTMAS MENU, we got: ✨ Christmas Blue Yuzu Soda - this drink literally sparkles, how! I don’t know but it’s also super refreshing for those who like cold drinks at brunch! ✨ Natsu no Christmas Dessert set SO cute and attention to detail is impeccable - I loved their taro tart the most :)

MY FAV PICKS: ✨ Lavender Jelly Sparkling Lemonade - SO INTERESTING, the jelly itself was also unexpectedly fizzy!! ✨wagyu haru bento - SO BEAUTIFUL and decadent with WAGYU and SALMON SASHIMI! Definitely a treat yourself moment! ✨Risotto Porcini e Burrata - very powerful truffle flavour!! This was rich and creamy with the fun pops of chew from the mushroom. Recc for the umami lovers🤤 ✨Omakase Buckwheat Noodle - beautifully plated, light simple and fresh with really lovely seafood! recc for those looking to cut through the heaviness with something a lil sour!

Overall, @twosispyrmont is such an incredible brunch spot with such attention to detail in their creating! The vibes for brunch are impeccable - would recommend a visit...

Thoughts on going to the most aesthetic cafe this weekend? Two Sis has been on my to-go list for ages and I finally have a chance to try out their latest menu. My top pick would be the swimmer crab pasta, so refreshing with a hint of citrus zest. I loved it with the salmon roe on top which adds a burst of freshness and gives the dish another texture. The spicy scallop and prawn pasta is another dish you don’t want to miss out on, It was so creamy and the subtle spicy kick enhances the rich aroma of the pasta. And the Wagyu Haru Bento is beautifully wrapped in a cute furoshiki and it smells so good when you open up the bento. You can’t miss the waffle if you are a dessert girly like me! It has a crispy shell but soft interior, and pairs so well with the ice cream that comes on the side. 🍱 Wagyu Haru Bento 🦐 Spicy scallop and prawn pasta 🦀 Blue swimmer crab pasta 🍓 Strawberry and mango waffle 🍵 Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte 🧋 Thai milk tea with coffee jelly ☕️ Tiramisu Latte 🪻Lavender sparkling lemonade Two Sis & Co @Two Sis Pyrmont ❣️ Pyrmont Thank you for having us and thanks for organising @SYDNEY FOODIE - Follow for more food and travel contents! #yeet_invite #invite #foodie #australia #sydney #foodies #foodiesofinstagram #foodiegram #instafoodie #sydneyfoodie #foodielife #sydneyeats #sydneyfood #sydneylife #sydneyaustralia #sydneycafe #instafoodies #coffee #coffeelover #coffeetime #coffeeoftheday #cafe #café #aesthetic #aesthetic #cafeaesthetics #tiramisulatte #fusioncafe #japanesecafe
