Can you pretty urban we walked and walked and walked past away from King’s Cross in search of a delicious breakfast after a long drive from Melbourne yesterday and what a joy it was to French after a tucked away in Darlinghurst Road. Just a hot stick in the junk from where we were staying I ordered the falafel place. Tanè little falafel balls, salads cabbage what were you want and where is plenty to share for a friend who just wanted to eat muesli I got Marcha that it was very tasty. The filtered water tasted a little bit funny, but I think that’s just a filtered water thing. Not a chapter falafel place thing overall had a nice time watching the buses go past on the footpath and Had a pretty nice time. I don’t fly food plates, then there’s lots of dips, salads and more on the plate, the dips and Peter bread. The dips had extra flavour the oils and sources on them and there was food food. Good to go around for lots of more people if they were to be there, and and Bindi got to have some falafel‘s, which was really good, I think I think that the atmosphere was really awesome, except that they had tried to rush us out at the end a little bit indirectly so not completely directly to our faces, but the vibe that we were getting with that we needed to get out so more people could sit down, and maybe that’s just personal aesthetic preference, but I iLike I like I like it more when there’s more you can just sit for awhile. I will remember the music being pretty chill, saxophone type, bits, kind of world world, Lee inspired rhythms and percussion the book. The woman who was at the counter was really warm, and she called me darling and that made me feel and that made me feel at home and and her eyebrows are really good, yeah next time I will have my first COBOL açai bowl but not today. Thank...
Read moreI’m saddened that I have to write this review, I’ve been mulling it over for weeks now.
Chapter E was once my favourite local for coffee and food, but in recent times the shine has worn off. Every time I’ve been here recently I’ve had my food order forgotten about whilst others who ordered after me had received theirs. And if someone has been standing out front waiting for 20 minutes and are still standing there, you’d think staff would check in.
The coffee service is fast, but the milk is almost always burnt and way too hot that you have to wait at least 10 minutes to take a sip.
The newer staff either fail to notice you when you’re standing in front of the register to order, or they simply choose not to whilst the one lady who has been working there for a long time is always in some sort of bad mood and directs it towards the staff and customers.
If the owner isn’t there, then I don’t even consider going here anymore, which is a shame really.
[Additional comments after the owners reply: The only thing I was trying to achieve is provide feedback. I have been a fairly loyal customer for 4-5 years now, and as mentioned in my review, unless you the owner is there, I don’t go here anymore, because whilst you treat customers as you described in your reply, when you’re not there, that assessment falls short.
That you have decided to take this as an attack on you or your business and not an opportunity to take feedback, and then to criticise someone who has actually been a loyal customer is disappointing.
It’s not like I’m seeking a freebie or anything other than a level of service and the good coffee that I once...
Read moreFinding authentic Israeli cuisine in Sydney can be a challenge, but Chapter E in Darlinghurst is a rare and rewarding discovery. Nestled in this vibrant neighborhood, the street cafe brings the true essence of Israeli flavors to life, far beyond the standard imitations often found elsewhere. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the warm ambiance and enticing aromas that hinted at the culinary journey ahead.
The menu is a celebration of Israeli cuisine, offering a diverse array of dishes that showcase traditional ingredients and techniques with a modern touch. Each dish we tried was a testament to authenticity, skillfully prepared with fresh ingredients and a perfect balance of spices. The vibrant colors, textures, and flavors transport you directly to the heart of Israel, making every bite an experience in itself.
I liked Israeli shwarma the most.
One suggestion for the owner would be to introduce a tasting plate, allowing guests to sample a selection of dishes in smaller portions. This would be ideal for newcomers to Israeli cuisine, or for those who, like us, found it nearly impossible to choose just one dish from such an enticing menu. Having a variety of flavors in one sitting would enhance the experience and make it easier to explore the wide range of offerings.
For anyone seeking an authentic Israeli culinary experience in Sydney, Chapter E is a must-visit. Highly recommended for its dedication to quality, authenticity, and the joy of sharing true Israeli flavors with the local community. An unforgettable dining experience that will leave you craving...
