Surprised by the owner tonight. But not really surprised either. I always sensed you couldn’t wait to snap if there ever was an issue. I’m a long term customer too.
I clearly explained that we were told two different things tonight by the staff about chicken being available which caused the confusion for us. And that the female staff member wasn’t friendly and frowning at us. Instead of trying to resolve things you told me “it’s just a wrap, you should go to a restaurant. This is just a chicken shop…”etc. what’s that about. Why disrespect me? Not a single acknowledgement that we had a poor customer experience. Or maybe “hey guys, I understand it didn’t work out this time. Come tomorrow night! Instead you make it worse. You know what it sounds like to me. Sounds like someone who holds grudges. For what reason I don’t know. If you have a personal issue then have at it. What is it? If you don’t like complaints that’s fine but if a customer is giving feedback then you don’t argue about it. Bad for business to argue with customers. Nobody is perfect. You’re not perfect and your food hasn’t always been perfect. There were times your chips were under cooked or your chicken was dry. Those times I just threw it in the bin. Because the times I did give feedback or complained I got the same snappy response. No customer wants that. You disrespected me tonight when I clearly explained why there was confusion. You said you don’t see the confusion. Get some empathy training. Simply acknowledging I had a bad experience can go a long way. That doesn’t mean you agree or disagree with me.
That’s no way to talk to a customer. Haram how you made me and my sister feel for speaking the truth. Haraam.
Some of your staff are kinder than you. Nice young brothers. Smiley, friendly, always made me feel welcome. They know who they are. It’s because of their service I kept coming back. They are consistent in kindness. Maybe you can take a lesson from them.
Feel free to tell me it’s just a...
Read moreI cannot remember how many times I have been having meals there and I went there on average 2-3 times a week until now.
Today a new guy delivered the food to me in front of the entrance when I was picking up my order. I parked my car at the parking lot right in front of the door. I heard he called me and I started calling him while I was in the car and started walking towards him to pick up the food. I understand that they do not generally deliver the food to cars, however, while I walked towards him to pick up the food, he started serving another white guy. Disregarding my call-out, the guy showed strong negligence with no intention to serve me. The store was clearly not that busy either. As an Asian and loyal customer, I felt defensive when passive racism appeared. To whoever this waiter was, if race makes you feel one is more privileged than another, you are really not as decent. There are a few friendly staff I have known during the past years who are very good and proven to be capable of establishing a good customer relationship. But a brand reputation can be easily destroyed by some racist who is careless and only passionate on serving privileged white.
Response to your reply:
It is not up to you to decide whether it is a race issue or not. It is up to the customers. I have reviewed some of the other negative comments, all your replies are just accusing those people, no wonder your staff's service is that poor. I do not need your appreciation...
Read moreI’m a foodie and have high standards. Quite simply amongst the best charcoal chicken you will find in Sydney. The Dine in experience is great (if you like footy!!)
Incredible Garlic sauce, pickles, fresh Lebanese bread are standards in the meals.
The chicken is delectable, moist with a scrumptious marinade cooked to perfection.
A great choice of delicious salads. This place isn’t a greasy spoon it has a wide selection of healthy clean food.
Portions are generous and priced reasonably. Service is friendly and helpful. This place is very popular because of the reputation for good honest food prepared in a clean environment cooked before you.
Everything on the menu is excellent. If I had a complaint, it would be $4 is too expensive for a can of drink, yes it’s of minor concern but still I can’t take a point off because of the quality of the food.
I’ve read negative reviews of this place and they are complaining about service at a busy place.. ignore them, it’s nonsense. Yes the place is busy because it’s an exceptionally good place to eat.
I must confess I’m a local and this is the first food I ate moving to Rockdale 4 years ago. This place is consistently great eat in or take...
