I Love Pizza Rockdale — Restaurant in Sydney

We used to love the pizzas from this place and had been loyal customers. But sadly, we had the worst experience during our recent visit.

We ordered a peri peri chicken pizza, and we don’t eat beef or pork, my wife stood inside near the counter waiting for the order while I was sitting outside on the bench waiting. What she saw was extremely disappointing and concerning.

The staff were making three pizzas at the same time — first handling beef gravy, then pork, and finally our peri peri chicken pizza — all with the same gloves, without changing or cleaning their hands. This is not only careless but raises serious health, hygiene, and cross-contamination concerns.

There were two Nepali staff (a boy and a girl) working that day, and they were arguing with each other while making the pizza, which made the whole environment feel chaotic and unprofessional.

We were so put off by what we saw that we couldn’t even eat the pizza. My wife felt too uncomfortable to complain at the time, and we ended up throwing it away. It was heartbreaking and frustrating.

This was definitely our last visit. Really disappointing to see such low standards from a place we once loved...

The manager took my order over the phone. I rocked up five minutes later and the chef told me “ man just two more minutes and it’s ready”. I must say that the pizza was made with love and this man that made the pizza loves serving his customers with the best flavoured pizza. Although he didn’t have chairs and tables for me to sit down and enjoy a hot pizza, he allowed me to standby the side on his counter and enjoy my hot pizza with my cold drink. Your dough was raw, we turned up to pick up our pizza and your staff had no idea the order had come through. There's not even a bit of thickness to the base for it to be considered pizza. I might as well have just put flat wrap bread or Lebanese bread in my microwave oven with a few toppings, it would have been the same thing.

Pizza was so thin, I'm not even sure if it was cooked through??? Hardly any toppings...
