Chubby Buns Burgers Ryde — Restaurant in Sydney

Not 'fast' food (Longish 15-20 min wait to receive burgers) at 9:20pm. Like Hungry Jacks with 3 times thicker patties, or Carls Jr but with more consistent less soggy quality, with more intense sauces/flavour.

Finally tried this place after driving past so many times during the daytime when it's usually closed.

Got the $13 'special' burger with a smallish pineapple ring & pretty spicy jalapenos. A bit too spicy for me. Also got their $13 'signature' burger with big piece of bacon as per the photo. This was easier to eat.

The burgers were well cooked, buns a little dry but at least not oily. The nice thin lettuce & pickles were fresh & easy to eat. The special sauce was like Big Mac special sauce but better.

For the long wait I would have given 3 stars but they present the burgers with some love & everything is more expensive nowadays anyway so the value for the size of the wagyu beef pattie is not bad.

Hoooooooooo my god. Tried this place out on a whim, via uber eats. We ordered a double decker and a smoked chub, both burgers were delicious. Arrived hot, and did not fall apart during eating in the slightest. I usually take bites all around the edges, leaving the final bite to be the centre of the burger and have every ingredient within it - the 'circle method' if you will. Chubby Buns passed this test with flying colours. The structural integrity of the burgers is unreal, not any case of anything falling out the back while you eat your burger (looking at you, hungry jacks). These burgers hold up better than my mental health. I fully credit chubby buns with saving my marriage. Our finances were a mess for mealtimes but with the absolutely reasonable and excellent prices from chubby buns, our lives have lit up. I can confidently say, try these burgers before an argument, they soothe the soul. I'll be naming my first born chubby buns for this reason. The perfect chubby sauce will be smeared across his face like he is simba in the lion king.

If I could give 0 stars I would, the service here was absolutely disgusting. I asked for the Cheeky Chicken burgers 2 of them and they took my order as normal and when I got my food and check it it was something completely different and when I questioned it the person said exactly this “well it’s not my problem I didn’t take your order” and continued to giggle with his co-worker.

I ordered Cheeky Chickens I paid for it and it’s what I should get if you don’t have it don’t make me pay for it. I don’t usually leave bad reviews I never leave reviews but i’ve in customer service my whole life and the experience I had there was disgusting utmost disrespectful.

You order chicken you get beef. Please retrain your staff, we understand it’s the end of the night but there is no need for you to put up an attitude and be rude.
