NS Espresso — Restaurant in Sydney

[Posted on behalf of my mum who has no social media]. Had a TERRIBLE customer service experience here today. Went in with 1 x $50 for a $16.50 meal. Waiter refused to give me correct change insisting I only gave him $20. I waited 1.5 hours for the camera result (during this time the waiter implied in front of my friend I was mistaken or lying around 4 times - insisting he was right and the camera would prove it). The camera clearly showed (in slow motion and colour) a yellow $50 note being exchanged and being placed into the $50 slot in the till! He acceded and gave me the remaining $30 owed. On the way out the owner/manager AGAIN accused me and I had to defend myself once again!! And no apology after I told her the camera result, just a "humph"!! I don't normally write reviews, but honestly there should be consequences for treating people so poorly. What a waste of time and an insult, in front...

The service was very slow and when my meal came (breakfast stack) it was very poorly made with cheap tasting ingredients. When I said I couldn't eat it they did offer me something else but to be honest looking at my husbands (Aussie breakfast) I didn't think anything else I would order would be any better so declined.

When it came to paying the bill they insisted that we had to pay the full bill as it wasn't fair to the staff and they had to cover costs.

This appears to be a nice cafe from the look of it but it's nothing more than a roadside...

I was in rush when I had to have some coffee while passing through ryde centre, and just went into coffee shop, it was nice I was chosen the rustic cafe, I just order BBQ Chicken roll & Regular coffe just for $10 but, both tasted amazing, I don't usually choose Vietnamese roll when it's time to have something quick, but after this experience I probably will try to have excuses to go with Vietnamese roll while strolling around The Rustic Cafe or just will drive there to have their amazing service and tastiest...
