Visited this cafe today for lunch, I quite liked their menu, reading it for a small amount of time I was won over by the salmon/avocado brushetta. I was standing at the counter for some time waiting to be served, the girl walked passed a few times but did not acknowledge me, service has gone down hill at this cafe.
The cafe was very busy, it was difficult to find a seat, I managed to get a seat away from the counter, my food came out straight away so quick I could not believe it, I asked the waitress if she could get me a glass a table of water, as I did not want to leave my chair or food on the table, only to be told that I could get my own water. I was not impressed as I was alone and did not want to leave my food on the table. Thankfully after a while she did bring me water.
My meal was cooked to perfection the egg was sensational, however unfortunately there were 2 avocado pips in the avocado mash and my sour dough bread was so thin I could not taste it at all I needed more bread to scoop up my poached egg. It was a rather small serving for $16.50
Unfortunately after today's experience I will not...

⭐⭐⭐ 3/5
Recently visited Leaf Cafe at Top Ryde Shopping Centre. I ordered their Avocado on Toast for breakfast, but was somewhat disappointed this time around. The quality seems to have dropped since my last visit - previously, the food was notably better. The toast wasn't as crispy as I remember, and the avocado needed more seasoning to bring out its flavor.
The coffee remained consistently decent - nothing exceptional but satisfactory for a shopping centre cafe. It was served at the right temperature with appropriate strength.
While the cafe's location is convenient for shoppers, it's disappointing to see the inconsistency in food quality between visits. What used to be a reliable spot for breakfast has become hit-or-miss. The decline in quality is particularly noticeable compared to my previous experiences here.
Overall, while still acceptable for a quick shopping centre bite, they seem to be struggling to maintain their previous standards. Hopefully, they can return to their former level of quality...
Read moreTook my two girls here for Sunday breakfast. The reviews and photos looked amazing. We were really disappointed. The hot cakes was a single pancake smothered in ricotta cheese and topped with fairy floss. No ice cream, and not very tasty. For $18 I expected more than 1 pancake. The kids didn’t like it at all and I after tasting it myself I wasn’t surprised. I really can’t understand why anyone would smother a pancake with ricotta cheese given most people I know don’t like raw ricotta cheese.
The sweet corn fritters was also on the small side, and the texture inside was like vomit. It was grainy and runny and slightly green mustard in colour. It reminded me of a curry puff in terms of flavour and nothing like any corn fritter I’ve had previously.
The staff were really friendly and the location is great, right in front of a playground. But you could do so much more with this menu. So so disappointed. I really hope they can fix their menu as this is such a...
