Cinnamon Thai Cuisine - Abbotsford — Restaurant in Sydney

We've been semi-regular for about 12 months as it's a local. Overall we really like the place and the food. The service is super friendly but they could probably do with another person on board as it's often very busy. It's usually tasty and good size servings. Especially love the prawn dim sims. It's one of the best Thai food experiences we've had from a taste perspective. That said there have a been a couple of instances of stray hair on the plate. We've persisted despite that - hoping that was addressed with hairnets - and the food continues to be tasty (four stars is reflective of hair free meals). We were very disappointed about this meal. Rare family night out. 3 adults and 2 kids. Entree were all ok: we ordered prawn w/ beetle leaves. Salt and pepper calamari and curry puffs. But the mains were not good. The beef salad was quite bad in the texture: felt like the beef was boiled in hot water and placed on top of the sauce. It was a liquidy sour mess. The Pad thai looked good but only tasted like a normal stir fry. There was no flavour and no seasoning in it at all. This whole experience was more frustrating because we drove past one of my favourite Thai places Doy Tao, we should have just gone there, but was feeling adventurous. We made sure the kids were full then we actually headed to Chargrilled Charlies for more food after to have a more satisfying meal....

came here last night for dinner and really enjoyed the experience. the restaurant had a great ambience with cool lighting and nice jazz music, although the music didn’t really fit with the thai vibe it was still a nice touch. the food itself was very nice, i ordered a beef chilli stir fry and it was pretty damn good. we also got an entree platter and it was great, i highly recommend the roti if u do order entrees. the service was great, super quick and really nice people. the restaurant is open to the street so although we sat inside some flies/mozzies did come in and annoy us a bit, i would suggest that the restaurant invest in fly repellent candles or a mozzie zapper albeit this was not enough of an issue for me to deduct a star from the rating. gets...
