Wow! No wonder these guys make you pay first before you have to wait or get the chance to send your food back. What an insanely tremendous disappointment, waste of money and waste of time. $62 for two breakfast dishes, a coffee and a tea. We thought geez it must be good for that price. Half an hour later still waiting for the food.... When it finally arrived we knew straight away it was not going to be worth the wait. I had the smoked trout and potato salad bagel. The potato salad was riddled with dill - I literally spent 5 minutes trying to pick it out and couldn't get it all. For such a strong and unique flavour (which I cannot handle) this was not described on the menu, and not something that is normally in Australian potato salad. In Europe, yes, so I know to avoid potato salad when I go there. But here, I didn't even think to ask as it's not normally part of the dish. Unfortunately, the trout was also mixed in with the potato salad, so I couldn't just move the potato salad aside and have the trout with the bagel. I ended up moving it all aside and had the bagel with some butter - never paid $22 for a bagel with butter before... Next my husband's dish - bubble and squeak with baked beans on the side. First of all someone should tell these guys that bubble and squeak does not mean a whole potato with some extras on the plate. There were 5 small pieces of bacon. The cabbage was cremated, the peas were like powder and the baked beans on the side consisted of about 6 dry beans with virtually no sauce. We have paid less for dinners that were a million times better quality. We cannot express how disappointed we are, that's an hour of our lives and over $60 that we will never see again....

We had a booking for 7 people for dinner, thought we would try the new owners food as we live 5min away ...even though some of our friends said we would be disappointed

...and Disappointed we were !!!! We walked in to be told you can have either of those tables pointed out to us ....a fairly empty Cafe and it didnt feel very welcoming to say the least

Put our bottles on the table and there we were ....Noone came to open them so we did so ourselves We CAN open bottles ourselves but THAT is not the point ..one would expect a more friendly welcome

Our food was nice ...nothing outstanding or over the top nice ...but simply nice ....HOWEVER .. It was served in smallish BOWLS ....with everything just piled up ....Totally unacceptable way to serve a maincourse ....Have you tried to cut up a duckleg on the bone in a small bowl or a piece of meat that my husband ordered ???? Not easy at all .....THE presentation of the food felt CHEAP and i would think you can afford to buy proper big plates as your prices are far too high for a Cafe

We had 7 maincourses and shared 3 desserts .........thats all ...and the bil was $40 per person !!!

Never again we all said ...we can go to a proper restaurant for the same price and have the same of better food, better service and food served on proper plates !!

Crazy that you dont ask yourself why you are not packed every single night you serve dinner with 550 people living 5-10min away (like us) ...

I could almost copy and paste the review from Sofia Luksich - although the run in I had with the manager was over a request that, having made on several other occasions, was told in no uncertain terms "we don't do that". Although this happened some time ago, and I was not going to return, I did go there recently with my partner and wanted to share what we found.

The breakfast food is nice breakfast food. Lunch was quite good. The scones are actually amazing. The building is beautiful. The back porch is such a lovely place to sit. The woman at the counter and outside serving were delightful. But the owners attitude is awful. I know it's tough out there, but when I approached respectfully with a genuine question and got told to move because there were other customers I was pretty shocked. And that's me paraphrasing - the exchange we had was pretty heated.

Not quite sure why this guy is in a service industry if he is regularly incapable of dealing with customers in a respectful manner. Will we go back? Look to be honest I'm not sure. If everything else was closed, probably. Otherwise I don't think we'd keep it on our list of...

🥰 Absolutely loved everything about this hidden gem. Friendly staff greeted us the moment we walked in and the service stayed flawless from start to finish. A quick tip: book ahead if you can. It fills up fast and you will thank yourself later. We grabbed a shady spot in the lush backyard and my doggy enjoyed sniffing around the green space 🐶. Indoor seating looked just as inviting: well-spaced tables, clean surfaces, and plenty of room to breathe. The whole place feels calm, tidy, and beautifully maintained. 🍽️ The scones are next-level good, light and buttery with the perfect crumb. Every dish we tried was fresh and full of flavor, but those scones are a must-order. Dog friendly, relaxing vibe, amazing food, and standout service. P.S. Already planning my next visit! 😂

We wanted to have the “high tea” set at Cove for a child’s birthday but couldn’t line up everyone to get there during opening hours. Luckily Mrko and team happily obliged by packing the delicious treats into boxes with tea bags, jam and cream - even lent us the cake stands. The food was prepared with great care so that it was as close being prepared to order as possible. As it was a couple of hours later when we got to eating, we gently reheated the arancini and scones in the oven. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I especially like the slight twists on traditional cakes in the sweet section. Great food, great service.

Attended a bridal shower here and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were unbelievably so friendly & welcoming. We had high tea including scones, arancini balls, fritters, finger sandwiches, salmon sliders & an an assortment of sweets. Everything was fresh and tasted divine. The coffee is also great here. Absolutely recommend if you are looking for a garden type theme bridal shower, perfect atmosphere for this. I will definitely be returning
