Costi's Fish and Chips at Coogee — Restaurant in Sydney

The prices are very reasonable for Coogee. The wait was not long for the basket. The seafood basket was filled to the brim. The batter on the fish was thin which was great because each bite was a mouthful of seafood. They were very generous with the chips and lemons. Any sauces were one dollar extra on top of the order

Just be aware that there is a public holiday surcharge of 20% which is displayed very clearly before you order. (Surharge is understandable if they are open on a public holiday)

Ordered a Grilled & Fried Meal Deal from this seafood restaurant via DoorDash and I cannot express how utterly disappointed myself, and my friend both were.

The negatives are as follows: the prawns were wet and tasted of rotten fish, the fish itself was mushy and offered no flavour whatsoever and the seafood salad was simply refrigerated seafood and sauce.

The positive: Calamari was a right treat.

We are not sure if DoorDash or Costi’s is to blame, regardless, incredibly poor performance all round and hope everyone can bounce back.

Fish and salad were nice and staff friendly. A shame though that eat-in meals are served in chunky boxes lined with alu foil, sauce is in a plastic container and cutlery is plastic and wrapped in plastic. Everything then gets thrown out in a single bin as general rubbish (no recycling). Cafes can use reusable cutlery and plates, so Covid is not an excuse.
