Cream & Co — Restaurant in Sydney

The food is delicious and the coffee is probably the best in the area! However, there are a few aspects that could be improved upon based on my most recent visit: after a finding out a first item was not available that day, and then re-joining the line after making a second choice, we then discovered that the second item also happened to be unavailable. Neither item was marked unavailable on the menu, nor were we informed after the first attempt at ordering. I believe that if a cafe does not offer table service, that unavailable items ought to be made clear before the customer approaches the counter to order. the coffee beans available for purchase do not seem to be roasted often enough to ensure the product is fresh. I ordered a mushrooms on toast with rotten cherry tomatoes.

Looking at the reviews, I and my husband went to Cream and Co for a morning coffee / breakkie. The drinks / food was decent. But what made me write this review is the act of 'overcharging' and 'not admitting'. We were charged $46.85 for 2 Frappes, 1 banana bread and 1 burger. When we looked at the menu again, we realised our total was actually coming to $33.5. When I asked the staff member to confirm what the prices for each item were, he started to manipulate the price on his system but still couldn't get it to $46.85. Finally after a few attempts of manipulating and overcharging, he was able get the total to $46.00 (close but not an exact match) and then he printed the receipt as I asked. I would NOT encourage such behaviour of overcharging, however would have been happy to pay that extra $13.85 as tip for being an honest staff (which he...

Never have I been to a cafe that makes you feel like you’re stepping into a friend’s home. I have been to Cream & Co daily for the past few years and it has now become the one of highlights of my day. Every day I am greeted with a smile and good morning by name. The staff are extremely friendly and unbelievably efficient. The coffee is fantastic, the food is delicious and comes out super quick.

The best cafe in the area and to me the best cafe in Sydney. Thank you to Josh, his beautiful family and amazing staff. You should be so proud of the wonderful small business you’ve created.
