It's a bit loud, but everyone is happy, with friends & family. If your lucky you've scored a window seat. You have an unobstructed view of youth sailing and older kid's. The food might take a while as they are serving long dang table's of Birthday and Christmas groups. If that's not your go...try and go elsewhere. I'm a recent member. I got a Bar Discount...if you've got a big group or just the Lady of my life..every cents..can be added to the Grilled lamb chops..there are 3. And a salad and Greek condiments..I ordered that. By the time came to cook it..all the lamb was gone...I was pisst off..but chose Surf & Turf with a creamy sauce..I normally avoid the sauce...but I won't next time. It was delicious when it arrived. The salad came with a tiny grasshopper. Now that's a friggen fresh salad. I let it go...probably out there plotting it's revenge on me disturbing it's meal. Seriously..when or how many Lamb Cutlets do you thaw out? Not enough obviously..but not the end of the World...BUT it could be for members and Patron of the Yarra Bay Sailing club. It not just youth Sailing, the Fishing Club..or the Csalt restaurant...it's the idyllic location of a beach that is frequented by locals and their families. Visitors have turned around La Perouse..there are restaurants, cafe's etc..with NOT ENOUGH PARKING to service a great spot..perhaps they are already designing the parking to transport passengers to a proposed Cruise Ships Terminal. Yarra Bay will be absorbed. The traffic will expand exponentially...Youth Sailing for the area will disappear...and for what...stinky Cruise Ships using cheap sulphurous oil to pollute lungs wherever the wind blows it. Ask the residents of Balmain what the smell and rates or breathing distress the residents there face. Yarra Bay is Gr8 as it is.. It needs more youth sailors...so get your kids into this...watch them while your taking their grandparents to lunch...watch your kids compete...they could become Olympians. We certainly felt good after my Sunday meal. Satisfied in so many ways...Say No to...
Read moreI honestly cannot thank Ben enough for everything he did to make my bridal shower so perfect. He truly went above and beyond, coordinating every single detail with such professionalism and care. Nothing was ever too much trouble – he made sure to check in with me about any additional costs before anything was confirmed, which gave me such peace of mind.
What really stood out was how invested Ben and his team were. He even let me come in the night before to set up, and both he and Sarah stayed with us late into the night to make sure everything looked exactly how I wanted it. That level of dedication is rare, and I’ll never forget it.
The event itself was seamless from start to finish because of Ben’s efforts. The food was absolutely delicious – a huge thank you to the chefs for preparing such beautiful dishes that all our guests loved. The hospitality was incredible as well: one of my guests arrived a few hours late, long after lunch had been served, and the team still kindly prepared a fresh meal just for her. That kind of thoughtfulness made everyone feel so looked after.
I also want to thank all the staff who worked on the day, who were attentive, welcoming, and professional throughout. The whole team created such a warm and flawless experience.
Ben truly did the impossible to make me happy, and I can confidently say I’ll be hosting all my future events with him. If you want an unforgettable experience with impeccable service, this is the...
Read moreThe food was just OK. Reasonable sized portions, well prepared, but otherwise rather ordinary seafood fare. Prices reasonable for the food served. The venue is very noisy, inelegant, and the floor was sticky. The piped in muzak was drowned out by the cackle of all the old biddies dining. The view is OK, but the windows weren't very clean. The cutlery was well loved, but not very clean, as was the glassware (dishwashers probably need a service). Easy parking. While the service was very polite, eager and cheerful, the staff seem very inexperienced, and they weren't properly trained in what was on the menu (when asked what one of the desserts was, she described it as "it's a creamy pastry thing", not very appetizing or descriptive). It took a lot of waving and calling to get the staff's attention when needed (they were very pleasant when they did attend, they just weren't paying any attention to the customers). Overall it wasn't bad, just disappointing, as I was expecting something...
