The ocean is as blue as a germ The museum nearby has a small range of historical items, free of entry. The island nearby is chargeable, open to the public during very limited time each week. Parking here is easy and free, and you can simply walk to great cafe or full licensed restaurants nearby, there are affordable also fish and chips shop available. For those who wish to swim in the nearby beach, please take extreme care, as I did see any lifesaver or rescuer there, and it can be rocky underneath in certain areas. Always friendly, great kids prices and easy to book. The Cinemas can be a bit small if you are after the huge screen experience, but it means you get to see a wider range of movies. The bar is great, the facilities clean and the location is central to the buzz of Newtown. It can be difficult to get parking at times, but it is only a 7 minute walk from the train station with ice-creameries along the way. There is an IGA next door so you can get your snacks on the cheap- although, maybe because of this the candybar prices are pretty reasonable.
