Cut Lunch Deli - A Fresh Bite!
A fresh, crisp and crunch of a bite! You would think I was talking about the bread but no (but yes), as the lettuce and tomato were the first things on my mind!
Have you ever had an In-n-Out burger? The ingredients were as or more fresh than that! If you haven’t but want to taste a delicious burst of freshness, you know where to go!
We had the Schnitz and the Obviously Good (well-deserved of the name). The Schnitz ($19) was so large that the bread could not contain the peak form of the sesame panko crumb! It’s a soft-ish bun packed with an overload of crunch! Chicken, lettuce, pickled onion and dill, a perfect combination and balance that makes you starve for another bite! Now, I would take chicken over ham sandwiches any day of the week however.. the Obviously Good ($18) was obviously good! It’s freshness in a sandwich. Ham, tomato, cheddar, onion, lettuce & capsicum spread.. nothing overpowered the other, you can taste each ingredient and each bite was just as good as the last! It would be my recommendation and go to!

Read moreHave to say I think the one-star review another person gave for the schnitzel sandwich is very unfair. I have no affiliation with the cafe whatsoever but my sandwich was delicious, the schnitzel was clearly fried today, and I suspect they make them themselves so they're extra crunchy and don't taste like most of the mass-produced schnitzels that are frozen, then fried and left around for days before being stuck in a sandwich. It was a generous portion of schnitty, had the right amount of lettuce, mayo and great pickles that, again, tasted like they make their own.
The coffee was also as good as anything I've had in the area.
Regarding the cost, the current supply chain issues nationally and gouging landlords in our area (see the many vacant stores) make it very difficult for any business let alone cafes to make a profit. These guys are providing a service to the local area and doing it with smiles on their faces.
Thanks team, keep up the good work, I'll likely be back weekly for my Friday treat of a schnitz sandwich and...

-Starting with the SCHNITZ sandwich, which featured a golden crusted, crispy large schnitzel. Tender, crispy and packed with flavour. The crust was panko crumbed and featured sesame seeds, which added a nice flavour and an extra crunch. There was a sweet zucchini pickle mayo which had a nice dill, creamy taste. Also on the sandwich was pickled red onion, which added a nice vinegary component. The shredded lettuce was perfect in terms of an added freshness, bringing balance to the sandwich.
-Next was the MORTY D. It featured a fresh, fatty and melting mortadella. The stracciatella was incredibly creamy, stringy and exploding with fattiness in the mouth. There was a subtle pistachio pesto and fresh basil which went perfectly with the mortadella. We were quite impressed with the pickled guindilla which added a vinegary aspect to the sandwich.
Overall, they were some very decent sandwiches, fresh, tasty and perfect for a Sunday. Thanks...
