Shea’s — Restaurant in Sydney

Very disappointing service and extremely rude owner, which is a shame because the bar and waiting staff were very nice. I was part of a group that had booked a table at 11am that morning for 20 people for 6pm later that evening. We had all turned up on time to be squashed into a table that would barely fit 10-12 people. The person who organised the table polity spoke to the owner and asked was there any way to get more room as we had a booking since that morning. It would have been as different story if we had tried to come in from the street demanding a table for 20 but the owner shouldn't have taken the booking that morning if he could not accommodate 20 people. The owner was so rude in his response and began to shout out about our group. A table beside us saw what was happening and kindly said that they would move so we could fit. However the owner, highly intoxicated, began to make a scene shouting to that group could they move to another table as "we were very important group of people". The owner made our group fell very intimidated and even more embarrassed and only for some of the group had already ordered and paid we would have walked out. The owner gained a substantial income from our group as all ate and had at least one drink. I will be avoiding this establishment again even if the owner is sober or like last...

NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!!

Our friends had booked a table for 20 people and when we all arrived we were shoved into a corner with no room to move only two table’s that would seat about max 10 people also there was signs on them stating how many people was on the reservation , we politely asked one of the staff members if we could get another table to accommodate our booking of 20 people but he started to shout at us thinking we just walked in looking for a table but he wasn’t aware that we had the booking , But he continued to shout across the cafe and the customers where all interrupted as he moved 10 people that had all ready sat down in a table that he should have reserved for our party . And continued to blame us for causing a scene ..

The rest of the staff was lovely and accommodating.

The restaurant was quite busy when my partner and I arrived but we didn’t mind queuing up to order our breakfast and expected a bit of a wait. We noticed that plates seemed to be brought out separately rather than table by table, so not everyone at one table had their food at the same time. My partner got his breakfast 45 minutes after we ordered. My partner had finished his breakfast and still no sign of mine. Around 10 minutes later, one of the servers finally approached our table asking if we were waiting on food, they said they would check the kitchen. After having to wait almost an hour and a half for my food, we decided to walk out of the restaurant as there was no sign of my food and tables who had ordered after us had gotten theirs.
