I have come here a few times over the last few years and there have always been small issues here and there but never enough to mind too much as I consider myself very 'easy going' and I am not one to cause a fuss. I made an order over the phone this morning to be picked up, and the lady attempted to charge me extra for toast (which came with my order). I told her three times that on the menu it includes bread, because she kept exclaiming that I was incorrect. When she checked for the forth time with a different staff member (sounded like the manager), he became frustrated with her and told her that it is included. When I got home with my order, they had given me the incorrect bread and the sauce I had paid extra for was not there either. I called back to notify them of this and the girl over the phone insisted that it was in the bag as if I was not being honest. It wasn't until I was able to get a hold of the person who insisted he had put it in the bag, for him to tell me he had it there with him and that he forgot. He said I can come back and get it but I was already home, so I declined and politely expressed my disappointment with the situation. I just thought this was so rude and the whole experience was horrible. Their food is already quite overpriced and so it was very frustrating to receive this attitude in return. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review and this is not something I do often as I normally leave positive reviews instead. Unfortunately I don't see the point in trying with Dolcini anymore which is a shame as it is...
Read moreVisited on a busy morning for brunch. We could see a table that was free inside but hadn’t been cleared yet, I had asked for a table for two and the waitress looked at me blankly, I then asked about the empty table and received another blank look. We were then asked to wait outside for a couple of minutes for a table to be ready, which was ok.
I had ordered the superfood poached eggs but requested no avocado. When our meals came out I noticed that there was no spinach, which I was ok with. It wasn’t until I had eaten almost half and was thinking about it, I had not received what I had ordered. I didn’t want to cause a fuss as I’d eaten almost half and didn’t want to raise this with the waitress as it had already felt that it was too much asking about the table when we arrived. Given it wasn’t what I had ordered, it wasn’t too bad.
There was quite a number of staff working but there just didn’t seem to be any organisation within the staff and the customer service wasn’t great. This experience was disappointing as I have heard good things...
Read moreDo NOT order takeaway from this café, and a sincere warning to all Uber Eats or other delivery drivers — avoid picking up orders from this place!
I had a terrible experience with a male staff member, working at this café. His attitude was not only rude but also outdated and unreasonable. He seems to believe that Uber drivers are personally responsible for bringing anti-spill equipment for his café’s takeaway coffee. Seriously?
Let me clarify — Uber does not currently require drivers to provide their own protective equipment for food or drinks, and there is no legal obligation to do so either. If this staff member has a problem with that, he should take it up with Uber directly and suggest they update their policy. But until then, blaming delivery drivers for something that’s not their responsibility is both unprofessional and unacceptable.
If you can’t accept how third-party delivery platforms operate, then perhaps don’t partner with them — deliver your own orders and good...
