When we saw the Campos we got excited hoping to get a good coffee. After buying ice cream and cookies as well we ordered takeaway large coffees. They forgot to put them in take away cups. I asked mine to be put in takeaway the waitress took it back 3 minutes later there is a takeaway cup sitting next to the lady who was also working there. I asked if that’s my cup she said yes- I took it it was the wrong coffee I took it back the boy - barista said no that’s your coffee I took the other cup and looked in the cup it was half full ?! So hubby took it back asked what the issue is he said he will make another one. Third attempt of doing a simple coffee order - it came back as burnt milk and so hot that burnt my tongue. Non dairy milk doesn’t get boiled simple barista courses teaches all of that. As a long time coffee drinker I even know what not to do when making coffee. Long story short we were very disappointed with the service and the quality of the coffee making. Vanilla ice cream was nice. The cookie was not fresh. Hoping others have good experiences here and Enjoy their time. Actually reading how this cafe owners responding to feedbacks / reviews from their customers I am shocked to see how unfriendly and unprofessional their responses are. They need to loose the attitude and start delivering good food with some good service. It’s business I get it and obviously they get away with this attitude some how ?! Read moreWent to the cafe with my mother this morning as we are new to the area and trying different cafes to find a new regular spot. Was really looking forward to coming to this cafe as it was recommended by a friend but found our experience to be a disappointing one.
Firstly, staff were not unfriendly or rude but there was no real service. It took a while to be served and no one came to check on how we were doing or if we needed more coffees. When we paid, they did not ask if our meal was okay (spoiler: it was not). We have been to other cafes on the street and their service has been friendly and we are used to cafe staff checking in on customers.
Coffee and orange juice that was ordered was good but that was it. My mother ordered the Chef's bruschetta and I ordered the veggie big brekkie, our food was stone cold despite taking a suitable amount of time to come out and we could not finish it as it was inedible.
I am disappointed that no staff bothered to speak with us as I prefer to give feedback in person but we were largely ignored. Since leaving the restaurant, my mother has felt ill from eating her meal.
I believe the first step in improving this would be for staff to check in with customer's to ensure the food is okay and at least warm and fresh. I am not sure how food is prepared but much of our food was cold as if it was taken straight from the fridge instead of cooked fresh. I hope that our experience is just an exception to the norm but I do not believe my mother and I will visit this...
Read moreIn response to owner's reply: No I did not expect anyone to bring my food to the table as I ordered take away. I sat my kids down and went back and stood outside the shop (right next to the coffee machine) to wait for our order. I looked at the Christmas painting on the wall and generally browsed my phone and waited. The female staff never called out that my coffee and hot chocolate were ready. I ordered 3 drinks, I saw there were two coffee cups on the bench so thought they probably weren't mine, and I continued to wait. After a while, nothing happened still, I went over and checked if my drinks would be ready soon, that lady looked so annoyed somehow, she didn't even speak and just pointed at the two cups. I was like you saw me standing there for so long why didn't you let me know??? And I ordered 3 drinks. That was a human error which was understandable so I paid for one more drink. I asked her if she would let me know when my food were ready, then she rolled her eyes and pointed at a few bags on the side of the counter and said he just brought it over now! I honest don't expect much and I have great respect for retail workers but how she treated me today was disappointing.
