🔍 Finally tried Jeans Chilli Chicken after hearing so much about it! I was craving egg and keen to see what the hype was about. ✨ Casual, outdoor vibes—think street-food energy, not fancy dining. Perfect for a relaxed lunch with friends inside Eastwood hotel. ❤️ Quick, friendly service. Food came out hot and fresh. Simple setup, but you can tell they care about flavour. 🥤 Drinks are basic—just your standard soft drinks order from the bar. Nothing special, but they cool things down when the chilli hits. 🍳 The Egg roll was the standout for me—soft and fluffy. Total comfort food. 🍙 The rice balls were super moreish. Salty, savoury, hand-held perfection. Definitely a fun little side to share. 🥗 The side plate was a nice touch—greens, creamy pasta salad, and some kimchi for a spicy kick. 🔥 I liked it, but it’s definitely one for chilli lovers. Some of the dishes had a real punch, so if you love heat, you’ll be in heaven. I’ve tried it now and I’m glad I did—but I’ll probably leave the extra-spicy stuff for the chilli fiends next time. 🙌 Worth the visit for the value and variety. Great if you love bold Korean flavours and don’t mind a bit of fire.

Jeans Chilli Chicken is truly is an institution in Sydney and you cannot do a trip here without experiencing Jeans famous Chicken. He once told me himself that he created the secret chilli recipe based off 3 different types of chilli imported directly from Korea. Not sure if I believe him but the chicken sure as hell will give you a blast. The general way that this goes for newbies is you'll receive your plate of chicken and each person a bowl of seaweed rice. You hand roll your balls (using the included gloves) and then cutup the chicken and eat the ball and chicken together. The side dishes are unlimited so feel free to cool down yourself on either the pickle (which personally I think works the best) or the creamy pasta salad. The place has in the recent years received a great face lift and you can tell that they really thought about the layout for the outside seating area, super convenient that it's connected to the pub so you're able to grab a few drinks and then sit down. Be warned though, this chicken will have you blasting the toilet the next day. It is 110% worth it though, give it a go!

Always a favourite and always so busy! We managed to get a table near the bar. We ordered the pork belly and the famous jeans chilli chicken with cheese which was super delicious! My favourite was the pork belly! Jeans chilli chicken didn't taste spicy after eating the pork belly surprisingly! You also get a serving of seaweed rice balls that taste delicious with the chicken! If you order more than 2 dishes, you also get access to the salad bar. It was super nice to have the salad bar, as you could add kimchi to the meat, and they also had pasta, salad and radish incase the spice was too much! Would recommend coming in earlier around 5-6pm to beat the crowd! We went around 7pm and it was packed! Make sure you have your ID available at the entrance. You can come through the side or through eastwood hotel. If you call in advance, you san also park your car in their carpark. If you don't have a pass, you can call when you arrive and they will let you in. Free to park too!

Went there Thursday night mar 30 with my girl friend because it had a respectively good rating on google view. We could have tried other fried chicken Korean restaurant the oppsite side of the street , or even KFC as my girlfriend pointed out.

Went in and no one greeting us and at least 3 waiting staff saw us , walked passed us ( not carrying a meal ) without saying even hello .

Went to a wait staff said hello what's good here He pointed at the reception and said order there I asked him again he just pointed at the reception.

At the reception a guy recommend us chicken with cheese saying it there no.1 dish

As we sat down, free kimchi and pasta was served to us but the next table came got main meal served 5 min before we got ours ( they only walked in after we finished order )

Finally the main was served. The chicken with cheese, their so called no.1 dish is very flat. Chicken in the oven, chili powder with cheese, very mediocre and average meal. Anyone can easily make them at home .

To make it worse, it cost 35 dollars ( inc free rice, kimchi and pasta ) , and it is a very small serving. A 10 dollar KFC zinga box would have equal or even more amount of food.

On the contrary , the next table , three Korean girls ate so happy , I saw them using gloves to pick crispy fried chicken and they seem to enjoy the food very well. I get it they are Koreans they know this stuff well, but we were recommended to try a very poor dish the first time (and it will be our last ) visit.

Overall : Very disappointing

Waiting staff performed unwelcoming and requires further training

Waiting staff and front desk speak limited English.

Don't order no.2 on the menu which is The chicken with cheese, which...

I have been coming here for years and the Chilli chicken is absolutely delicious. The fried chicken is also very yum. There is a little salad bar that is unlimited (within a time limit), which is a great addition to help offset the heat. The Korean food there overall is great and the only reason we go back.

The other pub food is below average. The service is okay, depending on who you get. The boss is lovely, very welcoming and thoughtful.

However, the reason I have only rated 3 stars is because this is not worth getting takeaway option. I had ordered two sets of chicken for two people ($90 total), and had asked for a little bit more pickled radish and pasta. I was charged $4 extra for extra radish and pasta, despite it being free if you eat in. With the two serves of chicken we ordered, we got a very small amount of pickled radish and pasta (maybe enough for 3 people in total, even given we paid for an extra set)… and they did not give any kimchi and a very small serve of salad leaves, more of a garnish... I had also ordered some rice to takeaway but was given a small container that also cost $4. I feel as though the lady was just making up prices for sides as takeaway.

Definitely not worth the...

I recently visited the restaurant , and I have to say that my experience this time was extremely disappointing. The restaurant is known for its delicious chicken schnitzel, which I have enjoyed in the past. However, on this occasion, I was shocked and upset to discover that my meal did not come with the side salad that I had expected.

When I asked the waiter about the missing salad, he simply said that they did not offer salad with the meal anymore and handed my friend and I a small plate of salad (enough for 1). I found this to be completely unacceptable, as the salad is a crucial part of the dish and is always included when I've ordered it in the past.

The chicken schnitzel itself was mediocre at best. It was dry and lacked the usual crispy texture that I have come to expect from this dish. Without the refreshing side salad to balance out the heavy and oily nature of the chicken, the meal felt heavy and unsatisfying.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The fact that they failed to provide such a basic and expected component of the dish. I will not be returning to this restaurant and would not recommend...
