This review is for Bambini Tratt only;
I’m not sure how there are so many high reviews. I wanted to love this place & I had high hopes, but I was left disappointed.
The place is cute & the staff are lovely, but the food was a big letdown & the drinks are terribly overpriced.
The lasagne was ok, a bit bland, but I was extremely confused at why they decided to put raw, uncooked, tinned tomatoes on the plate as a sauce around the slice of lasagne.
Sauce should be cooked for HOURS, not dumped out of a can onto a plate.
The pizza base was nice, but the mortadella was sliced, not shaved & was extremely salty. It tasted like cheap supermarket deli meat, not authentic Italian quality product. Added to that, the saltiness of the mortadella pizza was compounded by the fact they added sliced green olives - underneath the mortadella (??) and they were unwashed & unpleasantly salty.
The Lemon Delize had barely any custard inside, it was unpleasantly eggy & it had hard, crunchy bits of rock sugar throughout it - not traditional & not needed.
The food has potential, but needs a lot of refinement & improvement. It is at least reasonably priced - unlike the drinks, which, for a Club, were ridiculously expensive. An Aperol Spritz was $22 - which was the same price as the lasagne main..!
I wish the place well & hope it improves, but I certainly wouldn’t be back any time soon based on the...
Read moreonly four stars this visit really lovely African vibe presentation. I had an entertainment card voucher to use and was really looking forward to using it today on a chill day. However I was prepared to wait to open to be told the voucher is only to be used of a Friday and Saturday evening and no other time minus one star was due to the fact that nowhere in the terms and conditions did it state that it’s need to be used on those two days and only at night the voucher itself in the terms and conditions does not mention that so it’s actually something that you guys have done but for some strange reason it’s not communicated to anyone so I feel it was a wasted visit out of my way to come and eat and I’ve actually now reported it to the Entertainment card customer service as I say you snooze you lose this is proof that the voucher ( entertainment card can be...
Read moreThis was our second time visiting Bambini Tratt. As always, the service, food and ambience exceeds our expectations. The staff are amazingly professional, friendly and most of all attentive. The simple joys of consuming quality ingredient on the pizza and pasta transports one to Italy itself. For me, the bruschetta was a stand out. The balance of flavour, olive oil and the sweetness of tomato just melts in the mouth. Also, the pizza with pepperoni with a drizzle of honey, is a combination I never knew I needed.
At the end of the meal, the staff brought out a special gelato for my brother in law's birthday celebration. A gesture very much appreciated. Would definitely be...
