Review of Fat Burger, Queen Street, Campbelltown: A Disastrous Dining Experience
Spending $86.46 at Fat Burger was, quite simply, a catastrophic waste of money. What was meant to be an enjoyable meal with family turned into an embarrassing debacle, leaving me regretful for ever stepping into the establishment.
This was a takeaway pick-up order, and the experience was a disaster from start to finish. The core of any burger should be its meat patties, yet here they were paper-thin, overcooked, and burned to a bitter crisp. The taste was akin to cardboard, entirely devoid of flavor or appeal. The scant vegetablesâone meager slice of eachâbarely covered half the bread, leaving the burger looking incomplete and amateurishly assembled. What arrived at home was a far cry from the enticing images displayed in the store.
To make matters worse, I specifically asked the salesperson if I needed to check my order before leaving, and they assured me I did not. That advice was entirely wrong, as the fries and drink that were supposed to be included in the cheeseburger meal were missing. For a takeaway order, this level of negligence is inexcusable.
The sides were no redemption either. The wedges were dry and thin, with a texture and flavor as lifeless as the cardboard box they came in, and the sour cream lacked any creaminess or freshness. The chicken nuggets were clearly straight from a frozen packet, yet even frozen nuggets from the supermarket would have been more enjoyableâmy great nieceâs favorite brand far surpasses the pitiful offering served here.
Considering the total cost, I could have bought premium ingredients myself and made an entire spread of delicious, high-quality burgers at home for a fraction of the price. This was not just an overpriced meal; it was a complete failure to deliver on the most basic expectations of flavor, quality, and value.
To anyone considering Fat Burger as an option, I urge you to think twice. This establishment failed miserably to deliver on its promise, and the money spent felt like it was quite literally thrown in the bin. Save yourself the disappointment and embarrassment, and look elsewhere for a satisfying dining experience.
Fat Burger, Queen Street, Campbelltown, was nothing short of a monumental letdown....
Read moreMade a order with you guys on Friday night for hubby and myself and after a while was wondering where my food was until I checked my phone and found out my order was canceled. When I rang up and asked why? I was told that âwe donât have the time, resources or effort for YOU PEOPLEâ You people? I had put on the order I was anaphylactic to nuts and pepper so is that what you guys meant by âyou peopleâ? the guy that answered the phone was really rude and dismissive. Referring me to âyou peopleâ is extremely offensive and not to mention discriminatory to my needs. As a restaurant you are supposed to be accommodating to everyone who orders itâs not that hard to take stuff out or not make things with an ingredient if people are allergic. So many people are allergic to nuts and pepper so itâs not like itâs a weird request but to be called âyou peopleâ by your cashier really upset me. I take it that ribs take 6 hours to cook but you can get a rack cut it in half make one have the normal way you make it and the other without any seasoning so that people like me can still order it and put on it what we wish. And on top all of that to have to set there wondering where my food was for ages and find out for myself it was cancel without so much of a call or even a message to let me know. This is poor form DO BETTER. And in future please teach your cashier that referring customers to as âYou peopleâ can and will get them in deep...
Read moreAnother Queen Street eatery that I had somehow overlooked. I was served almost the moment I entered the shop, I didn't even have a chance to use the "please ring" bell. Service was friendly, I ordered two Classic Cheese Burger meals, a halloumi gyro, and a serving of churros. Having paid, I waited in the indoor seating area, which was neat and clean. After only approximately eight minutes my order was ready.
Shortly after arriving back home, my partner and I began to eat our food. In the cardboard tray, the cheeseburger looked a little small, however once the paper wrap was removed it was found to be of a reasonable size. It was delicious and fresh, the same goes for the chips that were included with the meal. The gyro was also very good. If I have to make a criticism (and it is a minor one) it could have used a little more sauce, but this is a personal preference. It nevertheless tasted great, the onion pieces inside it were fresh and crisp. The churros made for a nice dessert, and were supplied with a generous portion of chocolate dipping sauce. We both enjoyed our food, and agreed that we would like to purchase food from this...
