I ordered a chilli salmon lover roll & salmon sashimi for my kids and I. The salmon sashimi was full of bones and I realised their were that many that I wasn’t confident to feed the sashimi to my kids at all. I had never experienced anything like this with sashimi before so I rang and the manager didn’t seem to care & hesitantly wanted to replace my sashimi. The sashimi was thrown out so I asked if both meals could be replaced as it was a big inconvenience for us. In the end he promised me that I could have both meals replaced and when I asked to give my name and details he kept telling me that I won’t need to leave any details because he mentioned he was always in store.
I rang the store and explained that the male (manager) spoke to me and promised to replace my meals. I was handed to a lady who completely refused what was promised and said “I can only refund because you will complain again”. I was completely shocked as I’ve never complained once at this restaurant yet the lady over the phone was assuming that I would receive my replacement meal and complain again. Extremely poor customer service & just when I thought she couldn’t make it worse she kept mentioning that even if I wanted to order some dinner she wouldn’t make any of it because I would complain again. I mentioned that I have proof of the bones that I pulled out of the sashimi but she couldn’t care any less.
She reluctantly refunded my meals in the end but I was still dumbfounded to think that I couldn’t even order any food like I planned to for dinner. I asked her multiple times if that means I am no longer able to order from this restaurant in future and she didn’t make it clear at all so I definitely won’t be back to this sushi restaurant. Great business ethic , my orders are normally over a hundred dollars but as I've mentioned it was only for my daughter this time. I did get agitated with you and your staff as you guys were blatantly lying to me saying this is how you have always made it. I never shouted or swore at your staff and was just frustrated. You must be quite soft if you got offended that a customer had a slightly raised voice to complain at the sub par "food" you tried to sell. Just admit you guys were lazy and rude. You should be embarrassed at the attitude you and your staff display. In this economic climate good luck keeping customers with this attitude. I have quite a few friends that frequent your business but I will go out of my way to make sure everyone knows how you do business . Also you aren't even denying that you aren't making fresh food but trying to cheat customers with watered down microwaved garbage. What a joke
Food is alright but the attitude of the staff is beyond ridiculous. They messed up a katsu curry by making it basically water and incredibly spicy, since this was for my little daughter , she wasn't able to eat it and when I went back they basically threw the money at me and refused to make it. It was awkward and very unfriendly. The young girl that served us was rude, did everything she could to ignore us, and looked at us like we should not have been there.. When we tried politely to get her attention as she walked past us (only customers in the restaurant at the time) she just straight up ignored us. It was a horrible experience so much so we got up and left half way through our meal. It really doesn't take much effort, money or time to make a customer feel welcome.. smile and make sure their taken care of and enjoying the experience.
