If you’re looking for a beach feed but craving something a LIL more than just your classic fish and chips stop - @fishmongersbondi is the PERFECT local eatery to top off your bondi trip!

I visited with my family last Sunday and I LOVED their cute local neighborhood vibe! They had such a wide menu sporting interesting dishes like fresh tuna tostadas and even Moroccan Fish Stew.

We ordered: ✨ Bondi Box ($31) - salt and pepper calamari alongside their classic hoki fish and chips!! ✨ Fresh Tuna Tostada ($20) - this was fresh and delicious with the pico and lime 👌🏼 ✨ Chargrilled octopus with tempura vegetables ($29) - really rate the tempura vegetables, they were CRISPY and wholesome - the chargrilled octopus was also fantastic! ✨ Lemon Butter Cod with Salad - perfectly cooked, great way to enjoy a quality type of fish!

Overall, really enjoyed my visit to @fishmongersbondi with my family! Super convenient while being a lil bit way from the hustle and bustle of the craziness that is Bondi! Definitely check them out!

If you love HORRIBLE service, getting laughed at by waiters, and ultimately kicked out come here! We had a reservation for 7:30 that we made days in advance and arrived 5 minutes early. Guess what? The two servers sat a walk-in group at our reserved table. It would've been ok but the two servers were extremely rude about it and told us to either wait or leave -- we waited. assume all servers should know what the word reservation means but the two girls need a lesson! When we were sat 20 minutes after waiting we were met with the worst service ever. Throwing water down on table aggressively, and as we were waiting for them to take our they kept passing by giving us the stink eye. Finally after waiting 5 minutes for them to take our orders we asked and they told us we needed to go all the way to the front and order at the front. What's the point of sitting us down, giving us menus, but telling us we need to go back to the front and order on a screen, YOU'RE SERVERS TAKE OUR ORDER. We were then told that they were out of most of what we wanted to order. It's 7:00 and you're out of most of what your restaurant is know for? That makes no sense. I'm not doubting that the food isn't good, it's just the worst customer service we have ever seen -- we were shocked! If you are a manager reading this, and value customer feedback, please use your consideration and fire your terrible waitress! Not only were they extremely rude and passive aggressive, they also laughed at us while we were leaving. Please take this award for WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN SYDNEY !!! We had bad customer service experience at Fishmongers Bondi. We ordered the 4 person seafood person package - 4 fish, 8 calamari, 4 prawns, 4 oysters + salad & chips for $100. They came out to tell us they didn’t have any oysters and to order more calamari or prawns instead.

That was fine but we decided we wanted to change to something else because the oysters made it good value. They said no - we already started cooking.

That was already not a great start because it wasn’t our fault that they didn’t have any. Visibly seeing we weren’t happy, they told us they had 3 oysters, and to just get extra calamari. The way the lady that served us made it seem like we were being difficult wasn’t a great experience.

On top of that, they didn’t give us the extra calamari as promised when it came out. We had to ask and the lady really had poor customer service, rolled her eyes and looked annoyed. the restaurant was not busy, a few tables and we were made to feel like a nuisance.

Additionally, when we finished they tried to charge us $132 for our meal, when it was $100 + a 15% public holiday surcharge. Ridiculous experience here!

I definitely will not be returning and will not recommend this restaurant purely because of...
