La Piadina (Bondi Beach) Est. 2008 — Restaurant in Sydney

Unfortunately the order was incorrect (we did repeat it numerous times) which is sad, then when you collect your order and politely point out its wrong they blame you then tell you to pay for the correct dish so you have to pay twice. Bad attitude bad business practise....considering the cost of producing the meal is minimal I would have thought keeping your customers happy was a priority we do eat there semi regularly as a family. In conclusion arrogant staff VERY overpriced!

In response to your reply to my review I'm so surprised you have lied upfront! I was not rude or angry. I waited patiently while you served others until it was my turn. And at NO TIME did I demand anything. My 16 year old daughter who placed the order was sent home by you with the wrong food after making it clear I do not eat meat as you told her she needed to pay for a new dish. You should have sorted it out straight away. Again let me stress I was in no way rude...

Positive - the filling of the Piadina was good The rest-

1. Overcharged by 20% from the menu price (75 instead of 60 for 3 piadine). Was Ignored when requested the receipt, actually not ignored, he just started aggressively.

2. The guy taking orders should not be working at front of house. He doesn't really talk, is rude, belligerent and sort of grunts a bit. Service around Sydney isn't great, but this has to be one of the worst experience I have ever had.

3. The Piadina bread is not traditional Piadina. It was burnt, ultra thin and crusty, almost like a crisp bread.

I won't be back that is for sure, I wish I had checked the reviews before I went. Although the rating is high, there is a running theme in the reviews....

Opened successfully since 2007, this is a lovely popular sport in Bondi. The owner Damiano is a humble hard worker, that made La Piadina an Italian icon in the Eastern Suburbs. Food is genuine an d healthy. Coffee is top quality. You may have to wait a bit to receive your order in peak hours, but believe me it’s all worth it. Put it this way… if you come here, you will save money for a trip to Italy to taste the same original food 🤣. I would recommend to stop here to try it, for an aperitivo Aperol Spritz with a delicious piadina. Perfect also for a lazy morning in Bondi on weekends. You may find also some movie star celebrities of Mad Max...
