Five Dock Hotel — Restaurant in Sydney

Extremely disappointing to say the least! It’s been a long while since I visited this pub and unfortunately it will be the last time I do.

The place is pretty grubby, they may be undergoing renovations, I’m not sure but in general it was pretty grubby looking

The bar person was not hospitable at all, in fact I would go as far as saying he was pretty rude. It appeared that he was either having a bad day, doesn’t like his job or just doesn’t like people. Not a great attitude for a job hospitality.

He was not friendly or engaging what so ever!

Staff are the key to any successful business and unfortunately in this case that is what has led to this poor review!

My friends and I certainly won’t be going back or recommending this place.

This pub is easily a leading contender for the worst pub in NSW. No wonder why it is always empty. If you want to give away all your money and time go to this pub and you will certainly be satisfied very quickly. Don't go there to play machines. Possibly one of the worst places in Sydney to win at. Very poor returns. I am very sure that the RTP of their machines is bordering on being illegal. Now I appreciate & understand why I lived in Five Dock for a number of years, yet I never went to this local pub not even once...

Made the mistake of thinking this was an old school nice pub with meals. Walked in via the "VIP lounge" entry aka Pokies room and it smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Walked through to the bar,.looking for a bistro, only to be told there wasnt one..A dozen old men drinking in the seedy bar area with tall tables and stools only. It had the atmosphere and patrons of a TAB outlet. Never again. Had a lovely meal at the...
