Eh, take it or leave it to be honest. It's awesome having another choice in Five Dock, especially considering I LOVE GYG but really underwhelmed and will continue to drive to Rhodes to get my fix.
In the week they've been opened, I have been almost everyday (except Tuesday). It doesn't matter what I order, it's always cold. I was hoping it was just opening jitters but I don't know if it's the case?
On Wednesday I got pulled pork nachos in a meal and the meat was cold, no guac and chips has clearly been sitting there for ages. On Thursday I ordered a chicken burrito, that was also cold. On Friday I ordered the promotion burrito with chips and the chicken in that burrito was cold as well but just filled with nothing but rice and beans. This time, I brought it to the attention of the guy behind the counter. Admittedly, he was super apologetic but didn't offer a replacement. I literally was expected to eat a wrap of rice and beans.
Yesterday, I ordered the tacos which were a slight improvement but there was no free condiments or anything. I felt awkward and bad having to keep going back and asking for things like red onion, jalapeños, hot sauce etc. It's not really a condiment station if it's not stocked.
Today though, really took the cake, I managed to get it just before a group of teenagers. I only ordered a chicken quesadilla with the lot. It was warm-ish, fell apart, really stingy fillings compared to other GYG plus forgot the guac as well as it being a really really really long wait. The group who came in after me managed to get their orders before me. I didn't walk away or anything. I was standing just by the coffee machine right next to where they call out orders.
Perhaps it's just some teething issues but there's a lot of fine tuning to be done. I'll give it a break for now and try again in a few weeks (and hopefully update this review accordingly).
Also, on another note, with so many people in the kitchen or behind the counter, surely ONE person can come out once every so often and wipe down tables. I only ever got takeaway because the dining area...

A few issues and feedback which I hope gets heard.
Ordered Spicy Chicken salad bowl. Overall good quantity, the brown rice seemed a little soggy, HOWEVER my main issue was that everything was luke warm at the best.
Ordered Large Chips. This was a joke. Probably the smallest large chips I have ever had. Barely filled to the top and for $5.50 definitely not worth it. Furthermore it was cold!
Not sure why food is not hot in this store?
For those wondering, I live 2 mins away from the store, so it wasn’t a long way home. I tried the chips as soon as I walked out and really regret not going back in and complaining about the size and fact it was cold.
Might give it another go, however I think the store needs some work. They have clearly invested in a nice fitout, however food quality and proper heating of food needs...
Read moreDisappointing , that was the worst meal I've eaten in years, I've wanted to try for a couple years, I've been waiting in anticipation for months now for it to open, I even didn't go on the first day for the specials because I wanted to get a lot and try most of it thinking I would be able to find a "go to" meal so I got two$3 taco one chicken taco two burrito bowl (one plain one with sides) salad, and not one thing was worth finishing, what was wrong where do I start, the pork is bland, the rice was over done white rice, the chicken taco had refrigerated chicken on it, the$3 tacos had more lettuce in the box than on the tacos, and not even filling a burrito bowl with sides it still didn't taste any better than the plain one $55 bucks to fill a garbage bag what a waste, in conclusion I'm now waiting for them to go out of business so another business can have a chance to look after the five...
