Waited 25min for a coffee that wasn’t what I ordered. Asked for decaf - apparently it wasn’t available even though it’s advertised online. Agreed to get a half strength with the normal beans. Went to Bakers Delight next door, ordered food and came back and coffee still not ready with cashier saying coffee machine was being weird and to wait 5min. No one started up the machine. Between them the girls said they weren’t trained, but they didn’t say this to me so I just waited. 15min later someone started the machine, only to let me know there was no full cream milk left (first time anywhere doing coffee has said this) and asked if another milk was okay - I agreed. Then they couldn’t find the matching size medium lid for the coffee cup. At this point the girls started talking in a different language while avoiding eye contact with me so I couldn’t get an update. Had someone been honest when I first ordered, and said no one in the store was trained as a barista, I would have accepted that and walked further to order from a cafe. Unfortunately having waited until 4:30PM, nearby cafes had now closed their own coffee machines. Normally they are good but today I went there to have my lunch after working straight for 8hrs long shift I was starving and I ordered spicy chicken burrito and requested to take my drink with my meal the reply from the guy serving me was ‘if you want to take your drink with your meal it’s on you if we forget to give you your drink.’ I thought he was joking and I said okay but he actually forgot to give me the drink 5minutes after taking my order and later when I sat down to feast on my meal the buritto was mild buritto when I asked for spicy and the fries were soggy as well and cold. I asked for extra chipotle seasoning on my fries but it didn’t have any seasoning when I went there to tell them before I could finish the guy snatched the fries from my hand without letting me finish what I had to say and went ahead said that he will replace my fries. Extremely dangerous and bad practices at your lane cove shop! I order weekly from the lane cove GYG and unfortunately they never get my order correct. I’m always waiting another 10 minutes to receive my order correctly. Worst of all today watched them make my food and accidentally put chicken in the food. They quickly realised the order was with NO chicken so I witnessed them hand pick all the chicken out and then proceed to serve me the meal once the chicken had been picked out. I have an allergy to chicken and this was extremely dangerous!! You cannot contaminate a meal with a product and simply pick it out thinking this will solve the problem. The residue of the chicken contaminated the surrounding food! This is very bad and illegal practices. I’v been in tears today at the thought of what would have occurred today if I consumed this meal.
