Absolutely Incredible Venue!
We arrived on the ground floor and started walking up the stairs towards Hyde Hacienda, when a lovely young man called Alex found us and kindly escorted us to our table. He was genuinely sweet and friendly, and welcomed us to the beautiful setting that was prepared for my Bachelorette Party. Alex swiftly asked us if we would like some drinks as it was a warm afternoon and poured a glass for each of us.
We had some quick photos taken in the venue, making the most of the space before it filled up with guests. Both Noah and Alex were truly accommodating, and helped us with the photos, along with assisting us when we needed to move to a different backdrop. After photos, Noah and Alex were helped the girls move back to our seating and the food swiftly arrived. They were highly attentive, very chatty, friendly and charismatic with our entire group.
The food was decedent and delicious, with the Corn Riblets being the winner of the day. Everyone was so excited to dig in, and the boys were lovely to help us smash the cauliflower at the table. Our hosts were so unbelievably accommodating and there was no task too small or large. The drinks were perfectly made and well balanced, which was very much appreciated by the entire party. My event organiser had a wonderful experience managing logistics with our hosts Alex and Noah.
From the moment we entered the venue, we were shown the highest level of care, compassion and genuine conversation from Alex and Noah. Everyone loved the food and drinks, and were blown away by the view. Our hosting team made this experience one of the very best 6 Star Service experiences my party of 10 had ever had and there was not a single thing we could fault. From the food, drinks, atmosphere and ambiance Hyde Hacienda has truly elevated itself to God Tier in its category of Sydney’s hospitality offerings.
I cannot sing higher praises for the wonderful afternoon of we had, and would like to sincerely thank the entire team for making our visit truly memorable. I can’t wait to...
Read moreI booked for a group of 17 people for my partners birthday and we were beyond disappointed. We first arrived and were told we would be seated near the entrance on one couch when I specifically booked for the back section for a very big group and this was confirmed 3 times. We were told another group had overstayed which wasn't our issue. After pulling them up we were told to wait until they could clear the people out and we got our section.
Our group arrived very hungry with the assumption we would be eating there but when we tried to order we were told the chef went home and there was nothing they could do. After multiple arguments and half the night passing we had a few plates brought out with cheese and crackers (by this point more than half our group had left to find something else to eat and return because we were starving).
The service was a joke. We had a waiter take everyone's orders but no drinks arrived. After over 45 minutes and still no drinks we all had to get up and wait at the bar and make our orders to be served. I spoke to the waiter again about taking drink orders from our table and again - no drinks showed up until over an hour I reminded them. This resulted in us spending more than half the night standing at the bar waiting instead of enjoying ourselves at the tables we booked.
At the end of the night I was charged for the bill which I paid then was told to return because I was apparently undercharged. I was told I would be refunded the first amount. I have now sent 2 emails advising I have 2 payments pending from my account and the first was not refunded or cancelled! I have called multiple times and no one answers the phone.
The service was the worst we've seen in a very long time. The view was not worth the hassle our group went through and I would not recommend to anyone. The drinks are average considering the prices and everyone is better off saving...
Read moreWARNING STAY AWAY...I recently held my birthday at this venue and all I can say is WATCH OUT they steal your money (I cant believe the Pullman let this behaviour go on). I work in a senior marketing role and have managed many an event in the past and this was by far the worst. Upon booking the function I was advised that to hold the booking I would need to provide a credit card with no transaction to take place which is normal industry practice. I was then advised that there is a $100 per head cover which again I was ok with as I knew I would be ordering food and my friends and I all drink so that should be fine for 3 hours. Well this is where it all went bad - they never passed on my food order to the kitchen, no cake stand organised as agreed and then they never amended my number or guests and event start time. After arriving fashionably late to my own party and celebrating with my friends I later find out that a bar tab was started on my credit card without my permission and that some not all my guests were using it. I then tried to get clarity with the bar manager only to have him run away and not address me or the issue at hand. Then I find out with 30mins to go that we had only spent $600 of the $1200 and they were going to charge my credit card before booting us out at 8pm (shoutout to my GF'a husbands for covering the cost in the end but now I cant dispute the charge with the bank). Needless to say we ordered as much as we could drink and all whilst I was crying and upset at how this TERRIBLE venue management ruined my 40th birthday. They didn't even bother to reach out and apologise, I tried calling and received a very poor response from such bar manager. Honestly, if your looking for a venue for your special day I would look elsewhere like the QT or any Merivale property if you don't...
