We just returned from a 2 week trip to Australia where we spent 5 total nights in Sydney at Four Seasons…started there, adventured around Australia and then ended our trip back in Sydney at Four Seasons. I honestly could probably write a review many many pages long highlighting everyone and everything we enjoyed about our stay, but I will try and summarize: -We have been lucky to experience a couple Four Seasons properties in the US, but by no means are we Four Seasons regulars. It’s a hotel we choose for very special occasions. This is important to know because when I tell you that we were treated like family by all of the staff, I mean it…and it’s not like we were anyone special…just a very average american family…but the attention and graciousness we experienced was next level. Truly above and beyond. -Our travel agent actually initially suggested a few other hotels in Sydney, but when I did my own research it was obvious to me we needed to be at Four Seasons and I am so glad I made that choice. I knew arriving in a foreign country, on our first international trip with our 7 year old child, I wanted to stay somewhere that I could count on feeling comfortable. Four Seasons Sydney provided the perfect “home away from home” -The location is spectacular. I don’t think any other hotel in Sydney has as perfect of a location. A very short (and safe) walk to The Rocks, an equally short walk to any ferry ride around the harbor that you might want to take. We also walked to the opera house, the queen victoria building, darling harbor, and the Maritime museum. Additionally, many excellent restaurants we walked to. -The breakfast buffet was exceptional as were all of our snacks and the few meals we had ordered through room service. -Our room was extremely comfortable and using the four seasons app to request a few extra things was very quick and easy. -We participated in a private baking lesson with Chef Sarah and the time and detail that was taken to make this a memorable experience, I can not even explain it in words…as a highly trained French pastry chef, Sarah made our experience elevated but approachable. She truly went out of her way with the HOURS it had to have taken to prepare in advance our baking items. She left a lasting impression on our daughter and we will truly never forget our experience with her. -As I said, truly everyone we encountered was so very gracious, but Oliver also made a big impression on our family. Welcoming us in as if we were old friends. He was genuinely kind and made us feel so welcome. We are very thankful to have met him. -Other stand outs were: Jerry, Derick, Bear, Binitia…again everyone was wonderful but these were just a few names I managed to remember and hope they are recognized for their above and beyond service. We thought Australia might be a once in a lifetime trip, but because of the warm welcome we received all over Australia, we know we will make a trip back in the future. We were truly sad to say goodbye to our Four Seasons “home” and friends when we left. Thanks for everything, you gave us...
Read moreMy recent stay at the Four Seasons Sydney was nothing short of outstanding. This was actually my first experience staying at a Four Seasons property, and I can confidently say it has set the bar incredibly high for future stays anywhere in the world.
From the moment I arrived, the level of professionalism and warmth from the staff was exceptional. I was greeted by a front desk representative named Ghizlane, who was incredibly kind, patient, and personable. I arrived as a walk-in guest without a reservation and she went above and beyond to assist me with an early check-in, which I truly appreciated after coming from another hotel. Her demeanor and attention to detail really set the tone for the rest of my stay.
Every interaction with the staff was equally pleasant. Even as I was heading to the elevator, a hotel employee who was leaving for the day stopped to hold the door open for me—small gestures like that really reflect the genuine hospitality that this property is known for.
The room, while not overly large, was beautifully appointed and finished with high-quality materials throughout. The marble accents, luxurious linens, and bedding were among the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced. I particularly appreciated that the king bed was a true single king mattress—not two twins combined, as you sometimes find elsewhere. I stayed in a partial harbor view room, which didn’t directly face the Opera House but still offered a wonderful view of Sydney’s iconic waterfront.
The gym was another highlight—spacious, well-equipped, and ideal for anyone wanting to keep up their fitness routine while traveling.
I also had the pleasure of dining at the hotel’s Mode restaurant, which was exceptional in every way. My steak was cooked to perfection, and the waiter was both personable and highly knowledgeable about the menu. The food presentation, quality, and overall dining experience were truly five-star.
I stayed for four nights, and from start to finish, it was an amazing experience. I also want to commend the front desk for being accommodating with my preferred payment method, as I typically travel using cash for both the booking and deposit—something that was handled seamlessly and professionally.
The location of the hotel couldn’t be better—just steps away from the harbor, the Opera House, and several luxury shops right outside the entrance. It’s the perfect base for exploring Sydney while still enjoying the quiet elegance that the Four Seasons brand is known for.
Overall, I can confidently say that the Four Seasons Sydney is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The service, quality, and attention to detail exceeded all expectations. I enjoyed it so much that I’m even considering looking into the Four Seasons Residences in my own city of Bangkok after this experience.
Truly a world-class hotel in every sense—highly...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed at the Four Seasons Sydney and absolutely loved it! We've stayed at other Four Seasons properties throughout the world, and this city hotel definitely made the mark. ||Although our room wasn't ready when we arrived (around 7:30am in the morning since we had just arrived on a flight from Los Angeles), the bellman stored our luggage and the front desk gave us keys to access the spa facilities on the 3rd floor so that we could shower and change. The gym on the 3rd floor is well equipped with lots of different machines...more than just a few like other hotels. We also really appreciated the water, towels, and packets of liquid IV in the gym (A+)!!!||The gym is connected to the spa facilities, which have separate men and women's areas, with bathrooms, showers, lockers, steam room, and sauna. This definitely helped to start off our first day in Sydney fresh.||The hotel is in a perfect location - close to the Rocks, and very close to Circular Quay (a stop on the Train, the Light Rail, and also a number of buses). We found navigating around the city super easy from Circular Quay.||In the early afternoon we received a text that the room was ready, and when we arrived, the bellman had already placed our luggage in the room (A+)! ||Since the Four Seasons doesn't have a rewards/points program (we typically stay at Marriott Bonvoy properties), we booked through Delta Airlines to get the best room rate we could find. Although it was only a deluxe room (small), I appreciated the separate shower & tub, and plenty of space throughout the room. Housekeeping was great each day, and saw that we had disposed of many waterbottles, so they always left us a few extra - a lovely touch. The first night we assumed that housekeeping would provide turn down service, but we were wrong. Turns out, if you'd like turndown service, you must request it. Not a big deal, but I wish this was told to us at check-in. So if you're reading this, and you want turn down service, just send the friendly staff a text (there's a QR code on your room key sleeve and you can chat with the staff for anything you need).||Special thanks to Arnaud (Hotel Manager) and the team for making my graduation trip so special. They even surprised us with a bottle of wine and a small cake saying "Congratulations" with a note card welcoming us back to another Four Seasons property.||I'll end my review with this: Yes, the buffet breakfast is ALL THAT, AND THEN SOME as most other reviews have highlighted. Definitely one of the BEST hotel breakfasts I've ever experienced in the world...and I've been to a lot! ||We will definitely come back to the Four Seasons on another...
