๐The Layout: The whole place is kind of long and the tables are spread out too. There were 5 booths on the inside and a majority of the tables had 2 or 4 seats.
The outside had a lot of benches and seats closer to the ocean. The benches also had umbrellas to cover them. There were a few long jars/glasses with a flame in each of them for display.
There are also some seats that have pads on them that are at the outside part and you can see the buildings. And there are also a few 2 seater tables.
๐ฒMy experience: The food was very fast especially for a pizza. I came at about 6:40pm on a Wednesday and it was quite crowded on the outside but only a few seats were taken inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When I went to order food the staff there gave me a specific number to put on my table.
When I came there was a band playing live music, but later on when they took a break there was music from a speaker, either way Iโm not sure if they have live music in the daytime or only at night.
๐Likes: I like the music a lot because it goes very well with the looks and atmosphere of the place. At this time of the year it can be a bit chilly and the opera has a nice warm temperature on the inside, not so much the outside though.
The pizza I got was wonderful (margarita pizza), it was crusty, not too heavy, not too greasy, and to be honest, I didnโt feel like I ate too much after eating, if my pizza was a person itโd be a really put together person haha. I also got a passion fruit sundae and it was a nice balance of sour and sweet and a good mix too.
๐ชExtra Info: A nice idea for going to the opera bar is going to the opera first and then later on you could hop by the opera bar and possibly have some drinks or just have a meal.
You can of course come alone but I think the opera bar is a nice place for someone to go with family members or friends, itโs also not that bad of a place to go for a date.
The menuโs selection was a really good amount of dishes. There were salads, pizzas, snacks, drinks, seafood, and more. I was also surprised to see that the prices werenโt as expensive as I thought since the place looked kind of high class and in a pretty good location and also close to the opera.
I would love to come back again and try...

what does one do when they go to Sydney? go see the Sydney Opera House๐คฉโจ๐ฅฐalong the way you will pass by many restaurants and bars and one of them is Opera Bar๐ค
we gotโจ๐ฝ:
๐ค๐ prawn pizza ($26): ooooo this was pretty nice!! they have a few pizzas to choose from but iโm glad we chose this one!๐คค๐ฅฐquite surprised at the amount of prawns we got, usually at these scenic spots/restaurants they take advantage of the foot traffic and arenโt as generous with the portion size but iโm happy to say this wasnโt the case!๐ฅณthereโs little blobs of pesto here and there, usually i donโt like pesto but it was a refreshing touch! pizza base was crispy and fluffy and not over cooked thankfully!๐ฅฐquite delicious!
๐งกsweet potato wedges ($14): when i saw the price i went ooooโฆ but when the bowl came i understood why, such a worthy portion, and the wedges were hugeeee๐คคnothing better than sinking your teeth into a thick cut of sweet potato, the sauce was some kind of yoghurty garlicy sauce, whatever it was it was pretty refreshing!๐ฅฐ๐คฉ
๐๐ซberry confused mocktail ($9): quite a nice mocktail, i will say it was a little too sweet for our liking, definitely would have preferred less syrup, after the ice melted it diffused the sweetness thankfully๐ฅฐ
๐ฅaperol spritz ($18): quite a standard price for a cocktail so i wasnโt too fussy about the price, some places can charge ridiculous prices but luckily this was average lovely cocktail, i used the straw to push the orange zest out and it made it even better๐ฅฐโจ๐ฅ
overall, i do recommend @operabarsydney you get a lot of seating choice, its self ordering at the table, food and drinks were surprisingly better than we expected and nothing beats the view๐คฉ๐ฅฐunfortunately on the days we went it was quite rainy so the view was a little cloudy but beautiful nonetheless!๐คฉi would come back here if i go to...
ย ย ย Read moreAs a well-seasoned middle-aged woman with high expectations, I was eagerly looking forward to my visit to the iconic Sydney Opera House. Sadly, my experience left much to be desired, and I feel compelled to share my discontent.
To start with, the exterior is undoubtedly breathtaking, but the parking situation was an absolute nightmare. I drove in circles for what felt like an eternity before finally finding a spot far from the entrance. For such a renowned landmark, I expected better parking arrangements.
The ticketing process was another ordeal. The lines were long, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive. By the time I got my tickets, I was already flustered. Things only went downhill from there.
Now, let me regale you with an embarrassing story that still has me blushing. During the intermission, I decided to grab a quick snack. My friend Misha and I hurried to the refreshment stand, but the crowd was overwhelming. In the chaos, Misha somehow managed to spill her entire drink on me! Picture me, drenched and mortified, trying to maintain composure in front of so many people. It was truly a scene out of a comedy show, but I assure you, it was no laughing matter at the time.
The acoustics inside the Opera House, which I had high hopes for, didn't live up to the hype either. The sound was uneven, and at times, it was hard to catch the dialogue. For a venue of this stature, I expected flawless audio quality.
While the architectural beauty of the Opera House cannot be denied, the overall experience was marred by logistical issues and unfortunate incidents. I sincerely hope the management takes these concerns to heart and makes necessary improvements.
In conclusion, while the Sydney Opera House is visually stunning, my visit was far from the extraordinary experience I had anticipated. Perhaps with some improvements, future visitors will have a more...
