High N' Dry — Restaurant in Sydney

This place is fantastic ... and its about time Leichhardt had its own really good burger bar. The location's been 2 or 3 different Italian restaurants in years past, but this is the first time I've been there.

And long may it reign !!! The choice of beef, chicken and veggie burgers is simple but effective, with good combinations of extras and sauces.

They're a good size, quality over quantity with really nice non-stodgy buns and superb fries ... which include stodgy "loaded" options if you want !

My bestie and I had each option - the "junk" fries and the "tiger" fries ... both just absolutely delicious.

The chicken burgers and beef burgers were both absolutely top-notch. Great chilli sauce, cheese, bacon and perfectly grilled onions.

The restaurant itself is a really good size and done up nicely with classic comic strips and posters adorning the polished brick walls, and plenty of tables. Old episodes of "Thundercats" playing on the mounted TVs was an added dimension of awesome 😅

Really friendly & quick service and good prices. This is my new favourite burger joint and not just because I live locally. The folks who've set this business up have really done a great job.

Oh dear, what happened here? Came multiple times over the last 2 years and always had great food but tonight it was awful. Ordered junk fries, firstly it's chips now (not fries) and it was deconstructed!! I got little pots of hard cheese, bbq sauce and bacon bits to DIY at home. This is truly unacceptable and was gross. What am I supposed to do with hard cheese in a container? Chips were brown and very very average too. Now to the burgers. Also completely missed the mark. All the pics of the Nashville online have 2 pieces of chicken and look huge, but in reality it was the size of a McChicken and only 'ok'. The burger special was flavourless too, drowned in essentially a pasta sauce.

I'm so so so disappointed. This was our special burger place to come when we could afford paying $80+ for a Friday night binge but we will never be back. We waited 50 mins for takeaway for a terrible meal.

Don't order the fries - they are terrible. Literally the worst fries we have ever had, we've tried their fries a half dozen times, both eat-in and take-away, and they have consistently been undercooked or soggy. They taste like reheated/microwaved fries - and they aren't exactly cheap. They have been so bad that we've just binned them. Their burgers however are fantastic, particularly the fried chicken burgers it's amazing that they fry chicken so well but do such a poor job on the chips. When we feel like a burger and chips, we buy chips elsewhere and then get the burgers at High N' Dry. Brother's Kebabs on Parramatta Rd do pretty good chips, and Stanmore Fish & Chips are amazing. High N' Dry do a weekly special burger, it can be a bit hit and miss, but generally decent, and the regular change menu can deliver some real gems.
