Was visiting from out of town and just wanted to grab a quick drink with friends. Came to Honey Rider and was thoroughly disappointed. This wannabe hipster bar smells of mildew. The tables were filthy, with that wet dog smell that comes from using an unclean rag. We brought this up to one of the guys behind the bar and just asked them to give the table another wipe, but he just rolled his eyes and ignored us. By this point, we had already ordered drinks. When we got them, one of our friends noticed a greasy lip stain on her glass and so we asked the bartender for another glass, and he just replied with a snarky "what now?!?" Needless to say, at this point we were done with this place, finished our drinks (except for the one in the dirty glass) and just paid and left. I suggest anyone reading this avoid this place, unless you want to drink out of dirty glasses, sit at smelly tables and be abused...
Read moreThe Perfect Birthday Venue! I recently celebrated my birthday at Honey Rider in Neutral Bay and couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly accommodating and made sure we were well looked after all night. They were happy for us to set up the space exactly how we wanted, which made it feel really personal. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect for a party. We loved having access to the pool table and darts, and it was a huge plus being able to control the music. The ability to have sports on the TV was another bonus that kept everyone entertained. And, of course, the beers were amazing! Honey Rider is a fantastic spot with a great vibe and a team that goes above and beyond. I highly recommend it for any eventâyou won't be...
Read moreI recently organised a 40th birthday party at this fantastic bar, and it was an absolute hit! The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect throughout the night. A special shoutout to Phil, the ownerâheâs not only super accommodating and flexible but also has a great sense of humor that made planning the event super breezy.
We were allowed to bring in our own food, and there was no minimum spend required to reserve half the barâsuch a rare and generous arrangement! However we decided on exclusive use and the minimum spend was really reasonable.
If youâre looking for the ideal spot to host an event in the Lower North Shore, this is it. Great atmosphere, amazing service, and a touch of personality that you wonât find anywhere else....
