Horse and Jockey Hotel — Restaurant in Sydney

The reviews here must be old. We stayed over Christmas, from 23rd to 27th December 2024. The price was less than I would have paid anywhere else over the Christmas period but I suppose you get what you pay for.||The low rate is due to lack of amenities, with bathrooms shared between all the guests. We were not worried about that at all but unfortunately the bathrooms were absolulutely filthy. The were not cleaned once during our 4 night stay and I would think they had not been cleaned in some time prior to our stay. They were filthy. The rest of the place was a bit grubby too. Extremely dissapointed and if something else had been available, we would have gone elsewhere. Unfortunatley being Christmas, everywhere else was booked out.||Horse and Jockey, clean up your act and clean your toilets...

Our recent 3-day stay at the Horse and Jockey Hotel was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed, and the General Manager, Garry, went above and beyond, especially in his kind support during a minor medical issue we experienced. Beyond the outstanding hospitality, the food at the hotel was great – every meal was delicious and satisfying. We also thoroughly enjoyed the cocktail menu! Finally, every member of the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful, eager to assist with a smile. Overall, our experience at the Horse and Jockey Hotel was exceptional. Fantastic Atmosphere and Delicious Asian Cuisine! I recently visited the Horse and Jockey Hotel, and I was blown away by the beautiful décor and fantastic atmosphere. This pub has a really nice and relaxed feel.

The Asian cuisine here is exceptional! From the perfectly steamed dumplings to the flavorful Peking duck, every dish was bursting with flavor. The drunken noodles and crab fried rice were standouts—absolutely delicious and generous portions. Every dish tasted incredibly fresh and beautifully presented.
