My favourite bakery for cakes and korean savory pastries.
+Black forest is very good not too sweet. +Fresh cream tart is very good and not too sweet. +Glutinous ball with red bean paste +Savoury buns are delicious -Pie is OK -Cheesecake is light as it's on a sponge base, but the sponge is dry.
20/5/2020: bought glutinous ball (deep fried with red bean inside), meat pie, and sweet potato bread (total $13). Taste freshly made and I like how items are covered for cleanliness. Black forest cake is fresh and light, a hit with everyone - it is a sweet cake just FYI. As a baker I can tell alot of care is taken, and I can taste the quality of the ingredients. Lady at the counter kindly provided a birthday message, knife and candle. I thought it was reasonably priced at $33 for 6". July 2020: fresh cream tart was so fresh and light at the same time. I got a 10% discount for the cake, brownies are rich and delicious, coffee was good. Staff who served me was very friendly and happily showed me the most popular items she also gave me 2 free sample sized baked goods to try. I will be back, please try this bakery and support local businesses. August 2020: ordered black forest cake which came with sealed candles and knife and birthday message. 10% discount on cake for cash payment. Also got sticky rice donut (red beam filling), potato & meat croquette, and pizza bread. All were well received. Gifted 3 free...
ย ย ย Read moreIโve been in this bakery several times. I usually walk in, look around and leave without buying anything. Something is missing there. I realize the items have a Asian style spin on them but they could do so much more to appeal to everyone. Go into Black Cockatoo bakery in Lawson or Racine bakery in Orange and you will see what I mean. both these places have fully stocked shelves and plenty of customers to buy what they sell- at this place the display cases are always 1/3 way full and nothing ever appeals to my tastebuds. Itโs a tricky situation for the cafe because they risk having too much stock in the beginning but people canโt buy what they donโt have.I for one would buy fresh bread there if they had some decent loaves there. Iโm sure they have the oven and equipment there to make it happen , just not the right skills to offer a bigger range of products. Iโm not sure how they make money there...
ย ย ย Read moreWe visited and bought breads and pastries from this place a few times in recent month and like their unique taste and good prices. The customer services from staff members are good also. I like their mochi bread, fried donut / croquette, cream cheese coffee bun and tiramisu roll cake. We'll be back to try their other stuff. The organic flour and free range egg products with reasonable prices are very rare in Sydney and I support this business.
On next visit, I tried many good stuff and the ones that I especially like are their pork hotdog pastry, pizza baguette and blueberry cream cheese bread. Their cream cake and walnut chocolate bread are also quite good. My wife told me that their coffee is also good and use organic coffee and milk. Highly...
