I had been eager to try Iggy for some time, especially after hearing about their famous croissant. On a previous attempt to visit, I had difficulty finding the main store or bakery, as there were two stores without any signage or marketing pointing to the Iggy location.
However, today I visited the pastry studio and finally had the opportunity to try the pastries. I sampled the plain croissant, which was decent but not particularly noteworthy. It was warm with a bit of crunch, but not as flaky as I would have preferred. Despite this, it was buttery and soft.
I also tried the hazelnut and chocolate pain au, which had a pleasant, subtle flavor and a similarly non-flaky, buttery pastry. While not bad, it wasn't good enough for me to go out of my way to line up and get it again.
Unfortunately, Iggy does not serve coffee, only filtered coffee, which is unacceptable for my tastes. I had to go next door to a café for my coffee fix, but the burnt coffee there was not up to my standards.

This is the place for flavour and texture, (and warm smiles and community too). Try also the savoury croissant offering, the...

It seems you can also order bread and sandwiches from Loggy's Bakery, which is a few doors down. It was a nice cafe ☕♥🥐
It would have been nice if they had vegan...
