My experience with Isabelle’s has been absolutely horrible. We ordered 2 pizzas and a pasta and all of the food ended up in the bin as it was inedible. The meat and cheese on the pizza tasted like it had gone off and the pasta had hard chunks in it, almost like plastic.
We called the store to see what solution we could reach and were told that it was our fault for ordering too late, and their kitchen wouldn’t have given us bad food. To which I think is ridiculous considering they didn’t eat the food, nor were they the ones who were sick all night. If their kitchen could not complete the order to the adequate standards, they should have refused our order if it was too late.
I requested for a refund or partial refund, which is when I was told I could only receive if I deleted the review I left. So in order to get my money back I did delete my prior review. This took multiple phone calls to organise and on multiple occasions they weren’t answering their phones after numerous attempts to call.
The woman I was speaking to on the phone also demanded we come back into the restaurant for us to try the food again, which we declined on multiple occasions. But we almost felt in order to be given our money back, we had to agree too.
Finally once they agreed to issue a refund they asked for our account number to deposit the money, upon trying to give them the BSB and ACC numbers, they then said they needed my card details instead of the account numbers. I begrudgingly gave them my card number, expiry and cvc and after 2 weeks we had seen no refund deposited to the account. Which was very alarming considering they had very personal details of mine.
My partner then called to find out what the delay was, as they have taken very personal information. Again no answers on multiple attempts, we finally spoke to another woman, who had no idea what we were talking about. After re-explaining we were then told that they had no money is their accounts and this is why we hadn’t been given our refund. The woman we were speaking to this time then asked if she could payid it to my girlfriend.
This is so shocking and disgusting from a business to take personal details which can be used to anything, along with giving no communication on the delay and finally after we made contact AGAIN switching saying they can do payid, when prior they said they needed the card details to issue the refund.
We will never deal with this business again and I hope they don’t repeat this behaviour to any...
Read moreIsabelle’s Firewood Pizza in Leumeah is a gem for both locals and visitors! Whether you’re dining in with family or grabbing takeaway, this place delivers quality, flavor, and comfort.
We dined in and were really impressed with the hospitality; staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly even though it was a busy night. The space is clean and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The outdoor area is a big plus for families; our kids had plenty of room to move around while we enjoyed a relaxed meal.
We ordered the Margherita Pizza, Arancini, and the Veal Marsala. The Margherita was fresh, simple, and perfectly done in the firewood oven—crispy crust with that authentic smoky flavor. The Arancini were crunchy on the outside and creamy inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. The Veal Marsala was tender, served with a rich sauce that felt like true comfort food—great portion and full of flavor.
We also picked up a takeaway pizza for a friend, and even after the drive home, it was still warm, fresh, and delicious held up really well without getting soggy.
Another highlight is the location. There’s plenty of parking, and being close to the cycle track and Chipmunks Kid Zone made it perfect for the kids. It’s not often you find a restaurant that ticks the boxes for great food, fast service, and a kid-friendly environment, but Isseballs does exactly that.
Highly recommended for a family dinner, a casual night out, or a quick takeaway. We’ll definitely...
Read moreIf I could give this place less, I would. There were high expectations coming into this restaurant. As soon as we got to the door, they went out the window.
The service was chaotic. People in all directions without much sense of direction.
Then the food. Wow. Picked, what I imagine is the signature dish, due to the name.
Unfortunately, it came out with what looked like a swimming pool of oil on the pizza, with only a measly few dots of boccocini.
The dough was limp and soggy, which meant you couldn’t pick a slice up without the meagre ingredients coming off. The worst thing out of all of this, the thing lacked flavour. The most flavourful thing I had all night, was the Pepsi. And that is saying something.
This could be down to the quality of the ingredients. Tomatoes are meant to be red - not orange. I imagine, to cut costs, the ingredients are forsaken, which is disappointing as they are fundamental to the process.
There was a distinct lack of charisma to this joint, which is unfortunate as the rep they previously had, does not seem to be there anymore.
The one saving grace was the young lady whom served us drinks. She was pleasant.
The true test of a restaurant is the ‘could I do better at home test’. For $52, in this case, most definitely I could do better.
This restaurant will not be utilised by myself or my...
