EDIT: Been let down by past experience. As can be seen from the previous review, the service was spectacular just 13 months ago. August 2024 Tonight, we booked late on Saturday afternoon, arrived checked in, waited until after 6.30 to be seated, sat down ordered meals promptly and waited. The table of 8 next to us had a fresh bloomin' onion on their table, so had obviously received their entrees. The waiter dropped off the garlic bread quickly but not even sat in front of us. Just tossed to the side like an afterthought. The drinks could not have been placed further away from either of us on the table after he announced the drinks and held out respective hands for them, just ignored and not even given to either of us. We then waited for almost an hour. My husband was given a top up of his soft drink. My Margarita was definitely not well made. After 50 odd minutes, I asked my husband if there was any sign of dinner, he said no. I asked if he wanted to keep waiting, he said not really. We went to the front counter. We were brightly and cheerfully asked how our meal was by two hostesses, I replied that we hadn't seen any sign of our mains for almost an hour so couldn't say. Manager had to come and remove the mains from our bill, and didn't even say a single word to us. Not hi, or sorry about that, or the kitchen is backed up... nothing. Just wordlessly touched the screen and walked off. The table of 8 next to us, had 1 bowl of house salad provided to them. There were several empty tables near us, so not a particularly busy night. I still have no idea which of the 3 people was allocated to our table, we only saw 3 people all night at our table, plenty of other staff in the restaurant.
Outback had always been a favourite or my family. We chose this restaurant to host my Mother's 60th birthday, and had around 50 guests on a Saturday night. Was great! We feel so disappointed in the rapid decline in service, lack of customer experience and atmosphere. People go out to spend their hard earned money to enjoy a night out, not to just be left and ignored, going home frustrated
July 2023 Could not have had a better experience. We arrived as walk ins on what was an unexpectedly busy night. I had picked my partner up from hospital minutes prior and was determined to make hospital food far from his mind. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who wasn't sure where to seat us. She was assisted by the efficient Dustin who showed us to a two person seat. My partner's leg was still quite painful and he was conscious of people accidentally bumping it. We sat down, ordered our appetizers/entree and drinks from Dustin and looked over the menu. Entree and drinks arrived quickly and we tucked in. The gentleman who dropped off the entree (Nathan), said that he noticed that we were uncomfortable at the table and asked to reseat us. He quickly moved us to a corner spot where my partner's leg was better protected. I was impressed. Our mains came out and Nathan dropped them off; noting if anything wasn't right, to please let him know. He went off to drop off a birthday dessert to a family and lead them in happy birthday, (happy birthday Mitchell). In the meantime my partner cut into his enormous steak and found it was still quite rare when he prefers much closer to well done. Nathan scooped up the plate with a smile, and a not a problem, he came back and delivered a bowl of fries as the side. The steak was returned and was well cooked, very tender and we absolutely enjoyed our meals. What made it better, was the vigilant service provided by Dustin and Nathan. Nathan has more confidence, but was quite enjoyable to chat with and have a bit of banter. Dustin was very efficient, friendly and was a pleasure to attend and have service from these gents. We caught the manager, and provided pretty much the above feedback to him, and he was thrilled to hear. Read moreMy family regularly eat here (at least once bi-weekly) and we are always really happy with the service and food, but the last time we visited was really disappointing 😞 We dined in on a Wednesday night and there were maybe three tables full other than ours. No one attended to us at all for at least 20 mins, so I decided to order from the QR code on the table. BIG MISTAKE THAT WAS. Once we ordered, our waiter (young guy with moustache) comes over and says he will be around to take our order in a minute (we already had drinks on the table so had obviously already ordered). Then didn't return at all. Ever. Didn't check on us once. Then our food came out. It was 1 dollar wings that night and me being the supreme oinker I am ordered 12 wings, some cheese and bacon chips and the popcorn prawns as a STARTER. Yes I know a lot of food but I digress. The thing that was super annoying was that the MAINS came out before our starters. So we sat there with our mains getting cold waiting for the starters to arrive and when they finally did we had this absolute insane amount of food just sitting on our table and people were looking at us like we hadn't eaten in months. Our mains were cold by the time the starters arrived and so we had to try and shove everything in before the rest got cold. It was super annoying. And then we had to flag down a random waitress to get some take away boxes and refills because our waiter was busy socializing with the table in front of us for a good 15 mins. I don't normally complain but honestly this was really bad service on a not busy night at all. Read moreWorst dinner experience I have ever had!! Firstly, a cockroach crawled onto my wife's plate as she was eating her food. Secondly, we ordered 2 steaks medium which came out very well done (grey). The table next to us had the same problem too, having to return multiple overcooked steaks also - unacceptable when you are charging premium prices. There was also no side of chips with another meal, but a measly few slices of carrots and zucchinis. We then obviously had enough and called the manager who witnessed the cockroach crawling on the plate only to have him say 'oh no, I'm sorry about that'. This was after we waited 30 minutes for a waiter to even come and take our food order and when our appetisers finally arrived, we couldnt eat them because we were not given any cutlery, plates or serviettes. We had to ask multiple times. (I ended up getting up to go and ask the third time!) It is also worth noting that we made a booking 5 days ago and when we arrived, we were told they only had room outside... what is the purpose of booking then!
After the coackroach, we were done eating. The manager had the audacity to only take off the steaks and the cockroach infested meal off the bill.
Communication among staff is also dismal, because after the cockroach incident, we were obviously done eating and were asked by 2 other staff members how our meal was... what a joke!
This has hands down been the absolutely worst dinning experience we have ever had... gordon ramsey kitchen nightmares worthy.
Somehow the bill still added up to $160?!
In the end, went to a local pub to have a steak, whicb ended up being half the price, cooked how i ordered and...
