Joey's Pizza Pasta and Gelato — Restaurant in Sydney

Shocking first experience - ordered pizzas and cake (~$60), went to pick up at the correct time, asked to 'come back in 5 mins' three times. On the third time I asked where the pizzas were and was told by the clearly clueless girl 'I don't know', so I asked her to actually ask someone.

She asked the guy making the pizzas who promptly yelled at me to go away as the pizzas had been picked up and were now gone, which he angrily repeated several times. I told him I had not picked up the pizzas I had paid for, and that I had been patiently waiting and repeatedly returning.

At this time one of the young girls huddled with him talking something over, he went to the rear of the kitchen area, and then returned with the missing pizzas and said they had been mistakenly given to the wrong person and had been returned.

What!!!!

He then tried to give the pizzas to me, telling me they had only been there for two minutes and were still hot (I opened the boxes to check and they were barely warm)!

I told them to throw them out and to return my money, which, after some argument was done (he wanted to make them again rather than return the money).

I will certainly never buy from these clueless, lying cretins again and feel sorry for anyone who trusts them enough to eat...

I was well hungry, looked around the mall for the best option, and Joey's Pizza Pasta and Gelato looked like the one It's all about those 3, with quite many options, and on top some drinks indeed, and even a few desserts (apart from the gelato) Menu is clear, with icons to recognize right away what's vegetarian, and what's spicy On my side as I was hesitating between pasta & pizza, I decided to go for both! So, I had: Pumpkin ravioli (tossed in a tomato & cream sauce with parmesan & nutmeg), super yummy Orange juice (by East Coast) Thai Foon gourmet pizza (tender chicken pieces, onion, show peas and roasted cashew nuts topped with peanut sauce), large size, to go Staff is welcoming and efficient Decoration is nice Quite many seats inside, also some outside, and it's also possible to take away indeed, and even get delivered, for just $5 extra (delivery are: Baulkham Hills, Bella Vista, Beaumont Hills, Castle Hill, Glenwood, Kellyville, Kellyville Ridge, Norwest, Winston Hills) Parking right in...

DISGRACEFUL “customer service”. The “Manager” on Friday evenings is belligerent, rude and blamed us as customers when he gave us the wrong order (pick up) and then when we were told to pay more for the right size (which we did) he proceeded to tell us to come back in 10 minutes for the correct order (his screw up). Yet our actual order (which he stupidly hadn’t noticed) sat there for the 10minutes on the side. When we realised it was soggy luke warm pizza that had been lurking there the whole time - we were told basically take it or leave it and don’t eat there if we don’t like the service 😂 Terrible, obnoxious and incomprehensible response when he was in the wrong the whole time.

Frightening to read other reviews also and see similar experiences, plus so many accounts of food poisoning. YIKES! 🙅‍♀️

I can predict the disingenuous Management response to this as “we value your opinion and will endeavour to do better”. Not good enough frankly and pure...
